We're Happier than a Tornado in a Trailer Park/UPDATE--Makin a list, checkin it twice

Just a little bit. . . :rotfl: After all, when the t-shirts are just $4.00 on clearance, who can blame me for picking up 5 (or 10)? I mean, that's only $20, and the whole family gets one! :)

DH says he already looks like Mr. Incredible. :rolleyes1 No comment.

The box is great, isn't it? I'll pull the stuff out like LegoMom does with her drawer. It's getting closer! 81 days! :cool1:

Woohoo! closer and closer and closer.

I also got some of those make your own buttons and then took the LGMH's and wrote my screenname and DIS on them and did it for the kids who also have been known to frequent certain threads. My DP said to make one for the camera bag that says I'm with Momsof2boys...lol I got the idea from the Dis of course but can't remember from who. Most ideas are way to crafty for me to figure out but that one was a snap...litterally as you snap them together. LOL

You should take a look at LegoMom's tag she made. It's awesome. I want to do it, but I'm afraid I'll probably mess up. Good thing I have about 1000 LGMHs

Why, thank you! :flower3: Actually, though, that was my 3rd or 4th try! :upsidedow

The verdict on the matching t-shirts? Well, that's a negative. He'll look like he's not with us, but that is all right. He has 5 Disney t-shirts: the lime green one he won't wear, a Mickey Mouse one he won't wear (But he wears the Mickey Mouse tie to church), and 3 Grumpy shirts. Grumpy? Well, that has to be his aspiration. :lmao:

Really, he's normally a good sport. He probably will wear the shirt. But I'll pay by him running off with his friend, tbtdawg (I'll just use the nickname he's given to himself--I don't think he posts here, but I'm sure he reads here) to DTD to go to the cigar store as payment. That's okay. That cigar store is probably the only location he can smoke one, anyways.

I have been reading up on the cabins at Fort Wilderness. One of the things we really liked about the villa there was having our own kitchen. Had I really thought ahead, I would have rented DVC points and we could have just gotten annual passes this year (see the second trip planned--totally contingent upon getting National Board Certification, mind you) and gotten the Dining Plan by renting points.

Back to planning, though--we are officially 79 days away. Final payment to Disney is due on September 10, 2009, and we have canceled the dining plan altogether. We have also lost a day on our trip. We bought a new car last month and unfortunately, a payment to Disney became a down payment to the local Ford dealership.

We are keeping the ADRs, though (except HDDR and Tusker House). We are going to bring our breakfasts, split CS lunches, and keep the ADRs for 50s Prime Time cafe, Princess Bkfst/Cape May, LTT, and CP. I think we can actually come out saving money this way. I haven't crunched all of the numbers, but we have seriously thought of moving the ressies to the cabins at Fort Wilderness, except for the fact that we have friends staying at POR as well.

Planning continues, and all of the sudden, I'm excited about it all over again! I have thought of moving the ressies to room-only, getting an annual pass so I can get DDE, and getting regular tickets for everyone else. The June trip is possibly going to be a solo trip. I just don't know yet. . .

Well, I just got off the phone with Disney. (Okay, I'm paying rack rates. Sue me. My AAA agent would never get back with me and I have to book something right after dh decides its a good idea or he'll change his mind). Anyway, my anniversary present was of course my car. My birthday present. . .we re-upgraded to the Deluxe Dining Package. At some point, we decided we could not afford it. But this was the convo this morning:

DH: What do you want for your birthday?
ME: I thought the car was the birthday, anniversary, Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, New Year's, Easter, and Mother's day present this year.
DH: Yeah, but I have to get you SOMETHING.
ME: No you don't.
DH: Sweetie will be mad if I don't get you something.
ME: Well, what I really want is something out of the price range, I'm sure.
DH: What?
ME: Well, remember I wanted to go on a solo trip. . .
DH: We already discussed that I don't want you to drive to Florida by yourself and you won't fly.
ME: It's not that. . .
DH: Then where?
ME: If we go back and upgrade to the Deluxe Package, it would cost about the same as a solo trip. Think, no worrying about the cost of the meals. It will already be paid.

What do I do? I jump at it and call Disney before he changes his mind.

BTW: Note the new title of the thread! :goodvibes I decided if anyone is like the Clampetts, we are! We are the most Southern people I know!

:rotfl: I wondered how this thread suddenly showed up in my subscriptions!!.....Then I saw it was you and realized you must have changed your title.

Congrats on the re-upgrade! :woohoo:

Hi creativeamanda!! Your dining plan sounds yummy!!

Word to the wise make sure you get a nap on the 28th! I did a 7am at Chef Mickeys the day after the PPP. I am pretty sure He was wishing me dead in his head the whole morning long.

Seriously get some rest in between and it will all be wonderful

-Becca-

Those are great ADR's! You will have one very long day though... and it is so hard to make yourself go back and rest... that little kid in you kicks up and says,"oh but we should ride this first" or "hey, why dont we go do this first" and before you know it, time is up and you are dead woman walking.

I intend that day to leave the Halloween costumes at the resort so we HAVE to go back to the resort and rest.

Thanks. :goodvibes We are doing most of MK on the 25th, and like I said, we are purposely leaving the costumes and going back to the resort on the 28th. Right now, I'm crossing my fingers my personal leave request gets approved. But if it doesn't, I'm calling in sick, anyway.

Tomorrow will be exactly 2 months. And guess where you will be?

At least I know I won't be hungry! ;)

Guess what, everyone?!?!? Happy news! Yesterday, I applied the fall code to my package and saved $300!

And. . .as of five minutes ago, my trip is paid in full!

There's no turning back now! :goodvibes

I am proud to say that absolutely no pat of this trip was put on a credit card. I saved the money and made monthly payments and it is all free and clear.
