"We're going wild - Disney style" - A Oct 15-25th Pre-TR (10/12...for the ladies!)

The food was definitely good enough that it might incentive us to go back again someday. I agree Vegas is much better for an adults only trip...our problem is we use those to go skiing...which I would MUCH rather do. (Skiing is one of the few things I prefer over eating!) The Rio wasn't anything special, but the price was right. We really were doing a budget trip and manage to spend only about $2200 over the 10 days.

Have never been snow skiing. Would like to try it out, but I don't know if I could handle the cold weather.

$2200 definitely isn't too bad for Vegas, especially for 10 days.

Oh, and my kids love KP, they really should be too young to know about her, but I got a free KP movie and they liked it. I even purchased some KP episodes on itunes for them. Plus, it is one of the few kids shows that I like to watch with them.:goodvibes

It was only 2 nights in Vegas, I'm sure if we spent a week there it would've cost more, but it DID include car rental for 10 days as well as the 7 nights in Utah.

While not my favorite Disney animated show to watch (that would be Phineas and Ferb)...I have been enjoying the show as well, as there is some decent humor in there. A lot of KP episodes have been posted on Youtube. I think because they are no longer available to watch on TV and haven't come out on DVD, Disney must be looking the other way on this. I also found Season 3 and 4 are available on Netflix streaming...so we've been watching them there.

Phineas and Ferb would be another show that we watch as a family. I think my Dh likes that one more thans the kids do! Maybe I shouldn't admit this, but before kids I would watch KP on saturday mornings, and no I wasn't a kid, this was in my 20's:lmao:. We don't do Netflix, but I may have to check it out. KP is so much better than say Hannah Montana.

6) We can also catch the Obsorne lights, one of our favorite things from last Christmas.

I really need to get to the World to see this. And soon. I also really want to see the Castle all decked out in lights. To me it looks like frosting. ::yes::

Agreed KP vs HM! WE downloaded the P&F soundtrack this weekend (only $6.99 on Amazon), and were youtubing the videos for the songs. We couldn't get enough of "Squirrels In My Pants (S.I.M.P)", and this morning I woke up with the Perry the Platypus song stuck in my head: "He's a semi-aquatic egg-laying mammal of danger..."

The castle lights! That's the other thing I was thinking I wouldn't mind seeing again. While we enjoyed Christmas at WDW, I wouldn't hurry back, but these were two of the three things I would enjoy seeing again (Candlelight Processional would be the third.)

I enjoyed your Vegas TR & pics. One year I'm going to make it there!
Was that Donny & Marie on the building?
You were styling in your purple Mickey tie!
I'm starving over here after looking at those food pics! I wish I had some of those hush puppies right now!

Love your LGMH on your bag. I've got to post pics of mine soon!

Thanks! And thanks for noticing my tie with the hidden Mickeys!

That is a giant Donny and Marie on the building, I guess it makes it easy to find them.

And you better post those pix soon...you only have 6 more days!

BTW..our next door neighbors are going the same time as you are...so if you run into Drew and Robin and their 2 kids from Western New York...tell them their neighbor Peter says hi. (Wouldn't that freak them out!)

I came home from work on Friday, and there it was....the ME mailer! One of my favorite pre-trip moments, because you KNOW you only have a month to go!
:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana: 5 bananas for 5 weeks left!
It was especially exciting opening it up and seeing "Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo" printed on there. I still can hardly believe we are staying there!

Exciting!! :dance3: Now I hope you have a good place to stash those so the women of the house don't find them!! :rotfl:

OMG!! I can't believe you got your ME package already!! I'm not ready for my trip yet :rotfl:

We are still working out a rental car. Hopefully in the next 2 weeks prices will drop for my time frame. DH just doesn't deal well with WDW transportation and also he is going to a trade show for 2 of the days and will need to drive into Orlando.
Happy last month!!!

Woohoo!:woohoo: ME tags and 5 weeks! What a good day!

I go with a "hide in plain sight" method of just having all the Disney info in a folder on my desk. DW seems to be resisting the urge well, and DD doesn't know any better.

Ugh, one of the many things I love about a Disney vacation is not having to drive for a week. Quite possibly my #1 reason for staying on-site.

Woohoo!:woohoo: ME tags and 5 weeks! What a good day!
Yup, today not so good - had to go to work for about 5 hours. Yuk!

That would be too funny if I met your neighbors!

Yeah, I bet their jaws would hit the floor if you mentioned me. Seems unlikely that you would meet them though...unless they have on Bills or Sabres gear.

When we were there in April, we were sitting at Indiana Jones waiting for it to start, and overheard the people behind us talking about hockey, turned out they were from Buffalo...then the people in FRONT of us turned out to be from Buffalo...too funny! And I think I've run into more people I know at WDW than I ever ran into at the mall.

:woohoo: for having the ME mail arrive.

BTW - I'm definitely NOT NOT going to WDW between 24 - 27th October. :yay:
Hopefully we will bump into you at one of the parks!

Yeah for you! Will DBF be able to make that one? (I admit I have not been keeping up 100% on your PTR...)

We have to wait and see but we're hopeful he'll be able to make it for part, if not all, of the trip. His schedule will be 24 hour shifts, 1 to 2 days a week, so it depends on where in the rotation that week falls, if he has time to use, if someone will switch with him, etc. So, we're crossing our fingers but we'll see!

BTW...we have a cat names Isabella. (I see you have an Isabel)

My Isabel is such a diva. Her sister, Dory, on the other hand, truly lives up to her namesake, less the fins and gills. :goodvibes

Hooray for you! Might catch you on that first day. (The 24th is our last in the parks, but don't know even what park we'll be in!)

Keeping them crossed here as well.

Well, besides giving myself dancing bananas because there's a mere 4 weeks to go....

:banana::banana::banana::banana:

...I thought I would mention that I decided to check to see if we could add that last day that we are switching to POP to my DVC/AKV rental. I found someone with the points...but alas there was no availabilty at all DVC on 10/24.. :sad2: It's not that I mind going to POP...but I am not totally looking forward to the idea of moving all our s**t for one night.

Also, we put up our countdown calander, which I made earlier in the week. If I get a chance, I'll print/scan it in.
