Yep, it's raining in So. Cal. And has poured all night! I think we are going to float away. And my little doxie refuses to go out in the rain (who can blame him??)!

And it's windy... I saw it rain sideways this morning! :scared1:

I know, I know, I'm a weather wimp. But that's why I pay way too much to live in So. Cal!

Okay, done venting,
Dreams

P.S. IT"S RAINING!!! :sad1:

Yep. It was raining hard early this morning. Pouring buckets and going sideways, as you said! It is actually not AS bad (where I am) right this second, but still steady rain. Yesterday, it was clear blue skies and gorgeous outside! Now flooding has begun in all the areas which are ill-equipped to deal with excess water, like Paramount! This would definitely be a day when there will be no crowds at DLR! It's messy out there!:goodvibes

Add all that plus 35 degrees and you have last night..now it's just arctic and windy!

I'm LOVE listening to the rain :) I opened up my window last night and bundled up and slept soooo good!

It's raining here too. We had a flash flood warning this morning. Sherry, did you? Our's was for LA/Ventura County. Plus, it's cold!!! BRRR!

Yep! We had the flash flood warning too! They always interrupt TV programming to come on with the flood warning. The drainage systems are not great around here, so the streets tend to flood quickly - I mean, not like the flooding we have seen in other states after hurricanes and other massive storms, but just enough to cause traffic accidents around here and stalled engines!

By the time your rain hits me, it will be a winter storm warning with mucho snow. Not sure which is better. I really feel for those of you near the burn areas. I pray for the safety of you and your homes.

It's just starting to rain here in the valley. I guess it's finally heading this way.

We are up in the High Desert and we actually got about a foot of snow! My kids got a snow day today and the Cajon Pass was closed so DH got a day off too. It was so windy last night I seriously thought our roof would blow off and we ended up losing electricity for about 4 hours. The snow turned to rain a little while ago but we still have a ton of snow on the ground. It's so pretty outside. It is the perfect ending to our weekend(we just got back from Disneyland yesterday).

We actually just left the Grand Californian hotel yesterday and got on the road home (Oregon) about 1pm Sunday.

Weather was ok, then started raining, and once we hit Redding it was non-stop snow until we got home. All of Oregon seemed to get a big snow storm last night (we drove through the night).

Our normal 14 hour trip turned into 21 hours on the road. This was our first time driving non-stop (we usually stay in northern CA). It was awful.

But on the up-side, we actually have snow at our house - we never do! The kids are actually not super upset to have left Disneyland, since they have snow to play in. :)

I'm sorry you all are getting nasty weather. I am wimpified as well - it was 30 degrees with a wind chill of 18, and I thought I would get frostbite. :rotfl2: Of course the puppy pluto: needed her walk, so I bundled up and went with her. We made it 10 minutes. I lived in KS all my life - we had actual snow and ice, and I survived. Now that we are in TX my cold weather genes have left me. Now I'm just a wimp.

I hope your rain stops and your sunshine comes back out. :beach:

P.S. The use of all these smilies made my day a bit brighter! :goodvibes

i know its been raining the whole day! its supposed to rain tomorrow to! but then it should settle but it will still be chilly!

Looks like you will be at DLR when I am, indiesgirl4ever. ARe you only going for the one day or are you staying at a hotel?

Wow, I'm really surprised all these theme parks closed today! I know it rained a lot, but I wouldn't have really guessed they would all close. Kudos to Disneyland for staying open!

Yesterday, finally it began to rain in Northern Ca. Now it is about time. For Ca. very much needs the rain. This morning not only was it raining, but the wind was blowing, along with the rain sideways. That is always interesting to me to watch. I do love the rain. However, I do not care too much to drive in it, especially if it is pouring rain, at night. And of course the little rubber part on my windshield wiper blade, had decided about a week ago, to detach itself, about 3/4 of the way. Great! Not! For I do not know how to reattach it, or if that can even be done, to begin with. I believe this situation means I need to buy a new wiper blade. Did I mention that I do not know how to put these things on? (Sigh!) I hate feeling like a dolt! If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know, here for my communication system (Here) is currently on hiatus.

That is scarey! I've been watching the highway webcams.... it looks really bad in through the siskiyou summit, and this afternoon it said the I5 was closed from Yreka 10 miles north because of so much snow! you are lucky with your timing! we are watching because we are supposed to be driving down in 2 weeks... I really hope it improves a bit by then.... going along the coast takes so much longer!

We're getting hit with a severe winter storm here now, coming over from CA.
My daughter leaves in the morning for Disneyland, and I'm hoping the rain has passed so they'll be able to enjoy.

I love when it rains there, because a lot of people leave the parks. But as cold as it's been, it wouldn't be very pleasant.
