(I'm not sure if this is the right forum or not, so feel free to move if appropriate.)

Anyway, my husband came home from work yesterday and told us that DS and I are going with him on his next business trip to LA. Disneyland, here we come! (week of Sept 29th.) I just had to share my excitement with someone!

This is in addition to the 6-day trip to WDW that he planned for my birthday in November. I'm feeling really grateful that DH indulges me, because he definitely is not the Disney-holic that I am.

That's awesome!!! I got to go to both parks in the same month back in 2000 - I was sent to San Diego for a work conference. My DH came with me and we drove to Disneyland for a day. Two weeks later, our whole family was in WDW for a week.

That was a great experience!! I hope you have a wonderful time, too!

There is a Disneyland forum for any questions you may have. You'll love DLR. Compared to WDW it's small - yet between DL and DCA it has most of the rides and attractions that WDW has. have a great time!

Thanks for the good wishes! I'll be sure to check out the Disneyland forums here.

I have already been to Disneyland.com to see how the park layout is different from MK. (I've been to WDW about 8 or 9 times, but have never been to DL.)

We went as a family to Disneyland for the first time last December. We just loved it!! I prefer Disneyland now because everything is so close, we walked to our hotel, McDonald's etc. It was great. Some of the rides we love at WDW are even bigger and better at DL. I don't think you can really compare the two parks side by side, they are both great in their own ways. I would love to go back to DL, have a good time!

snowflake We went to DL for the first time this past June and loved it! We too have been to WDW many times (DH & myself 10 times, DD9 8 times and we just planned a trip for this Dec.!) and many people told us we would be disappointed after having been to WDW so many times. We were not at all disappointed. We did not go to compare the parks but just to enjoy a little different type of Disney magic. There are things that are very similar but yet different. Even the attractions that they have in both parks have differences to them. We really enjoyed the California Adventure park! The Soaring Over California attraction is awesome (we rode it 8+ times in the 4 days we were there). DD thought the Screamin Over CA rollercoaster was great and I loved it too!

The Disneyland board was extremely helpful to me when I was planning our trip as was our travel assistant from Dreamsunlimited Travel (I booked through them and we stayed at the Disneyland Hotel which was great)! I had also bought a Birnbaum Disneyland guide because for me planning the trip and reading about everything before hand is almost as fun as the trip itself, which is why I spend so much time here and my house is a mess LOL. If you have any questions just PM me and I'll be happy to try and answer them the best I can.

Have a great trip!!!!

Cool!!! DW & I went to DL this past March after six trips to the World(including last June-2002). We loved it! Stayed at Paradise Pier. DL is so cozy. All within walking distance. Soarin' Over California is the coolest attraction in WDW or DL(IMHO). People ask us which we like better, WDW or DL? I say if you have just a few days, go to DL. At WDW, you need at least a week. All Disney lovers should go to DL at least once in your life. It's the Mecca for us-where Walt walked... Have fun!!!
