The other day, I walked into the house to find my wife with a great, big, grin on her face! (okay, now get those minds out of the gutter, folks!)

Turns out, the Food and Wine Festival begins while we're gonna be there using free DDP! Our discussion immediately began as to how we're gonna horde credits to eat around the world in EPCOT.

Now, who's got the low-down on how things might work, or how they worked last year???

TIA!!!

I'm so excited....I'm gonna be there in (look down)...that many days!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Hi Delaware Mike. I dont have any advice for the F&W Festival but I just wanted to say :wave2: from one Delawarean to another...

Oh, and we are going to be at the World in 15 days...

i did not know the food and wine items were included on ddp. are they? that would be interesting, altho the servings are usually small and the wine is also a small amount, sooooo, you would not get enough to consider a that a full meal as most counter service is. unless, of course, you eat proper purportions, which i usually do not do.

Make sure you make your ADR's ASAP, especially since you'll be there during free dining AND F & W!. Those restaurants get pretty well booked up!
Good luck :thumbsup2

Good advice, however I was wondering about snack credits at the booths...

Boy, am I living right....or was it something I stepped in...?

Hi Mike -

Our last day at WDW is the FIRST day of F&W fest.....like I was worried about eating ENOUGH!!:rotfl:
Just wanted to share that when I called dining over the weekend to change my ADR's to cancel Chefs de France, and still could not get into Le Cellier for any meal, any time, the CM suggested I try the sampler of cheddar cheese soup offered at the booths for $2.50(last year!)
Hey.. I'm easy....the booths will be fine:cool1: . Don't think this is the time to pop into Le Cellier for a snack, given the solid bookings.

Enjoy. I believe Deb's has last years' list of foods available @ the booths w/ prices on her site...

Last year the day before the actual start of F&W festival, they had set-up the booths already as a dress rehearsal. We were able to purchase the food using DDP snacks even before the F&W officially opened.

All the items on DDP are the food items, ranging anywhere from $1.50 - $4.00. The wine and beer are not part of DDP, so if you want those, you'll have to pay OOP for it.

We did the sampling around the world. By the 8th booth, I was getting pretty stuffed. Even if the portions are sample sizes, there's still enough around the world to get you full.

I have some pictures of the food from last year on the food porn thread, and a list of the prices of food somewhere in this board. Just do a search on it and you'll find it. We hoarded up 16 snack credits and had a blast!

But does anyone know for sure if you can use the snack credits this year? I have been unable to find an answer to this.

Hello from another Delawarean!
Sadly, my trip doesn't start until October 22nd, but I'm looking forward to your reviewsand information regarding the snack credits!

I'm thinking we won't know till we get there. They keep changing the snack credit items. I'm going to use a few and try to save the rest under the assumption the booths will accept them. :woohoo: Tina

I called Disney Dining this morning about my original post.

After wading through all those marketing prompts, I finally got to speak with a CM...who seemed to know her stuff.

When asked, the CM read an internal notice to Disney Dining CMs, dated August 28th. The notice stated during Food and Wine the booths around EPCOT will redeem "one snack credit for one food sample." There was no mention of a dollar amount in the notice, even when I asked her to double check. However, the CM was correct in providing the caveat to check with each booth and to obtain a festival map, upon entering the park, for further details.

...and just when you thought there won't be enough food on the Plan.... <grin>

hi delaware mike, oops guess my brain was taking a break, i misunderstood your question. the snacks are different from the counter service. seems like food or wine (or food and wine) would a nice choice for the ddp snack, if you have that option. i don't know if that is an option or not. but, great idea. :thumbsup2
