I am so excited! :woohoo: My birthday and 21st wedding anniversary are in the same week. My husband just surprised me with lunch on the 19th (our anniversary) at Club 33! Unfortunately I have no way to get anyone else in. This is a very nice gift from a member who happens to be a patient of my husband's. I wondered if anyone out there had any advice for us on must do's or don'ts? Any advice would be appreciated. I feel like a local at everywhere else at Disneyland, but a total novice for Club 33.

Go to the bathroom there! My wife and daughters loved the "Thrones" in the ladies room. Take a walk around and take it all in. Enjoy the food, it's amazing (and pricey). Congrats, it's something you will never forget!

I'm hardly an expert, but I was lucky enough to go to Club 33 a couple of years ago. Would you believe someone on these boards posted that two in their party cancelled out and were willing to share their reservations with a DISer! I was lucky enough to spot the post immediately and respond.

1. Bring your appetite. The food is excellent, and there is a nice salad/cheese/pate bar and a nice desert bar.
2. If you're so inclined, have a drink to celebrate. There's something special about having a drink in the park.
3. Ask to see the souvenier case after your meal; you will have the option to buy club 33 gifts. They're pricey, but you may not have another opportunity.
4. Walk around, check out the rest room, look out the windows.
5. Take a camera
6. Enjoy your day at the parks before and after your meal.
7. Thank your stars for having such a thoughtful honey!
8. Enjoy!! You're so very lucky!

I know how you feal. I had my first trip there last July. Just enjoy. Have fun. Take the elevator. Above all get a drink. It is the only place in Disneyland you can have a real drink. Get a shirt or something. It will cost you, the whole experiance, but it will be worth it.

Club 33 has a special fruit punch drink (non-alcoholic). Make sure you order it.

Let your waiter know you are a first time visitor. They'll be sure to show you around and give you bits of info and what not about the club. They'll give you a few free souviners if you ask- napkins, stir sticks, match books, etc.

Wow, that sounds like a blast ! No advice ( since Ive never been there ) but enjoy ! How do you get reservations to eat there ?

Hope you have a great time! We got to go for the first time in Feb. Take lots of pictures!! Make sure you go out onto the balcony. It's so fun looking out over New Orleans Square from a view you've never seen before. The wait staff there is top notch. They'll provide you with lots of cool Disney info. We bought a MM hat and a key chain and a mug. Our waiter gave us each a pen. The food is pricey, but it's fabulous, so just go in there knowing that and you'll be fine.

I was concerned on how to dress. I was told your park clothes are fine, but being a little more dressed up seems more appropriate. I wore my gold Minnie Mouse ears :)

And save room for dessert!!!!

Lucky!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I'm going to DLR this weekend for my birthday but haven't been able to wrangle myself a way into Club 33 yet. I'm still trying, though. I know some people who know some people who know, well, no one... :rotfl:

Enjoy and take pictures!

Thank you so much for all the tips! I know they will help make our visit even more magical:grouphug:

RATS,deletedpenguin beat me to it.:sad1:
but please,do tell,and have fun.:thumbsup2

Great advice so far, but I haven't seen anyone tell you to go to the bathroom. Even if you don't have to 'go' be sure to at least visit it. You'll know why when you do.

Definitely ride the lift. And if you're not seated in the Trophy Room, take a peak in. Check out the vulture above the door. Just a little insight into Walt's humor. He was going to use the vulture to talk to the guest in the room when he wasn't there.

order the Fess Parker Pinot Noir and ask your waiter to tell you why it's special...;)

You have to be a member (years on a waiting list and lots of money to join plus lots for dues each year) or in our case we know a member who made reservations for us as her guest. She did this because it was our 21st wedding anniversary, but she normally doesn't do it because she got really burned once. She made reservations for someone she thought was a fairly good friend and knew fairly well and that guest completely embarrassed her. I guess when the check came she made a HUGE, loud fuss about the price and said she wouldn't pay it. She said she was a guest of our friend and she would pay it. Our friend had been very clear that the price of the dinner was the guests responsibility, but I guess she didn't want to pay. So Club 33 let her go and charged our friend and she had to pay the bill. Your behavior at the club directly reflects on the member so we are very grateful she trusted us enough to invite us. We are bringing our two DD's (8 and 6) along with us because we don't know if we will get this opportunity again. I will post some pictures and let you all know how it was. Thanks again for all the tips:)
