My dear friends,
First, to starann, I feel for you. Bruce went in for back surgery in late January and is still recovering, not so much from the back surgery but from everything else that happened as a result of said surgery. I won't horrify you with the details but he is going in for another procedure on another area, as of today, on May 27. We would appreciate any good wishes as well.
Which bring me to my next point:
Bruce and I have planned to come up for the full Gay Days, arriving Wed. night the 3rd and leaving Monday, staying at SSR (our first trip as DVC members). If he makes it up, he has rented a scooter because he still needs assistance walking. We would appreciate couples or groups hanging out with us where one or more is the riding type (like me) and one or more is not (like him). If you're non-rider is a smoker, so is Bruce.
If Bruce doesn't make it up, I'll be there by myself (not wanting to be by myself) with the added complication (?) of having 2 tickets to Cirque du Soleil and only 1 of us going. These are Cat 2 seats that I got with my DVC discount. I also have a ressie at Marrakesh for Sunday but that is easily cancelled, if necessary.
Needless to say, I'm hoping he can go but we don't know what he'll be like a week after surgery. Allegedly, it's a minor surgery and he'll only be in the hospital 1-2 days but with what the previous surgery has been like, who knows? So, if you're interested in the Cirque ticket with me, please send me a PM.
In either event, I'm hoping to see everyone from last year and meet some new friends. I'm especially looking forward to Epcot on Sunday and having a toast with turkeygurl and her men.
