I'm taking my first graders to the local aquarium and then to eat lunch at Spaghetti Warehouse. We've been studying ocean creatures and such, so this should be a neat experience.
Now, for anyone out there who's been on a school field trip, here's some fun information about today's trip:
We have 92 parent volunteers going.
Yep, that's right---92 parents for 141 first graders.
I love parent involvement at this age!Don't get me wrong--I think it's great! That's a lot of people to coordinate and guess who they come to when something goes wrong?
I just hope everyone (meaning the parents
) can get along and be on time!
Should be fun!
I'll let you know how it goes!

I can understand why that many parents would want to go with their first graders. DS9 and the entire 3rd grade class - not sure how many kids - are off on a field trip today. Beautiful day for it and good thing since it is mostly outdoors (Sturbridge Village in MA) DS is complaining loud and clear that he does not want to go so this morning should be interseting. sigh.

And guess that answers part of my other question, you are still in school, LOL.
