Nov 24 is a great date (celebrating 9 years this fall)
Next year it falls on Thanksgiving.
This can be good - hopefully time off to spend together
This can be bad - it is an expensive time to travel

No, not immediately. SO is a teacher, so we can't get away in the middle of the year. We'll have a party for our family and friends that night, and then get away next summer, probably to ABD London/Paris.

We picked 11/24 because the clerk will only do the ceremony on a weekday, and it's easy to tack it on to a long weekend, for our families.

And 11/23 is our 2 and a half year anniversary.

We get a certificate that says we're domestic partners

We'd been talking about it for weeks, and just started ring shopping, so I knew it was coming.

One question, what happens if a domestic partnership ends? Is their any legal mess or is it a clean break? Not saying yours will but just curious so put away the bbq sauce flamers I have not heard of this before.
