We're Engaged!!!

Just wanted to let all my Disney sisters know that my FDH asked me to marry him on Thursday nite at the California Grille on top of the Contemporary! We arrived a bit early for our reservation and went out to the observation deck. On the right, there was a rainbow and a full moon with blue sky (Wild looking) on the left, a beautiful sunset with the castle all lit up. We had the best meal I have ever tasted, followed by the fireworks of Wishes. Just before dessert, he got down on one knee and asked and gave me a beautiful ring...I cried and of course said yes, we had champange brought over by our waiter who saw the whole thing then ate an incredible dessert. (the meal was $$$$ but we used our dining plan thank GOD!!!) It was perfect!!!!

No date yet-I think the ring and proposal were enough for him for a bit-LOL His father is elderly and frail, so we have to take that into consideration when planning. We are leaning towards a Disney wedding for about 20 people-maybe at Boardwalk. We would use our DVC points for studios for our guests, get the DDE card for dinners (20% off) and haven't discussed the rest. Do you all buy tickets for your guests (park passes?)
Anyone ever have their reception dinner at the Contemporary? They have THE best view and a nice private room as well as the observation deck and ability to watch Wishes. Too many things in my head at one time!!!LOL

Sounds like your DH2B did great!!! Very worthy of a future Disney bride I'd say

I am planning a vow renewal for 2008 and no, I am not planning to buy tickets. Like you, I am planning on providing lodging for all my family at DVC (about 20-25). We will invite others and let them know about discounted lodging that DFTW allows.

Also, DFTW says your guests will have a chance to purchase discounted tickets. Does anyone know if these are a good deal?
