You know, I was thinking the same thing!!! We are really trying to cut back right now b.c we are moving and saving for the trip. But $92 to $40!!!! That is an awesome deal. And I can use it for school (excuses, excuses)

I have been searching for something cute to be a purse for me and able to hold some diaper bag type stuff for my munchkin. We only need a diaper or two, wipes, sippy and snack on our day to day stuff and I am tired of carrying the big diaper bag - because even the small ones are large and having a purse. I am also tired of having my stuff shoved into a diaper bag, because even the well organized ones are bottomless pits. This would be significantly better, right??

That is why I got the backpack. I used the hipster in January, but it was still too small for wipes, diapers, snacks, etc. It kind of cut into my shoulder too b.c it was heavy (had it overloaded). However, one positive was that I did not have to take it off to get onto the ride. I decided the backpack would be like the hipster, just bigger. I can ride rides with it on and also carry lots of stuff!

I love Vera Bradley, and what a great deal! I have been trying to decide how people deal with bringing things into the parks, and deciding if I am going to carry something around or get a locker. I would love to be able to carry something with us for things like snacks, wipes, etc., but also want to be free to ride without worrying about it. Do you carry a bag around with you? How do you deal with it when you want to ride something, do you find that you can take a backpack-type bag with you on most rides? Thanks in advance for the advice!

WELL, I took the hipster with me in January. I liked how it stayed secure across my body, but I had so much little kid "junk" in it (wipes, diapers, etc) that it was overloaded. It kind of cut into my shoulder a bit. However, I was able to take it onto the rides and did not have to leave it in our stroller, which is a major plus. It did kind of get in the way when I had to share a seat with my kids.

SO---for Dec I decided to use the backpack. From my understanding (as with the hipster) you can wear it on the ride and it will hold a lot more. Also, the straps will have weight distributed and won't cut into my shoulders as much (I hope). Does this make sense?

It makes perfect sense - thank you for the info! I am glad to hear you are able to take a bag on the rides with you...that was my one worry in having a bag is that I didn't want to leave it somewhere that it had a chance of being taken

I love it!! I actually made my DH carry the WDW 2010 black backpack we bought with our gloves and hats, etc. It was SO nice to have someone else carry the load too!

Yay for Vera Bradley! I love the simply violet print. I got my duffel in that one and just bought a new hipster in the fall Slate Blooms pattern. I am addicted.

I went to a Vera B store this past weekend and a ton of the pattern's were 50% off!! I got the small duffle bag for $36 (including tax). I'm planning on using it as a carry-on for my next trip! I didn't need any other purses, I already have a ton and use my small Vera B backpack daily as my purse! Glad you found a deal too!!!

They have a little store outside of Jungle Jims..it's also connected to Jungle Jims as well. I've also been to the one at Kenwood Mall but they have never had 50% off at Kenwood!!

I saw that in my email box this morning! It's crazy-- most of the patterns are already sold out!!
I think I may wait until the end of the week and get the small duffel in Cupcakes Pink-- my favorite pattern. My collection is growing to epic proportions-- my wallet is not so fond of this trend!!

I also got it in my e-mail. I already of the messanger bag. If I bought tha backpack I couldn't get a Disney DB purse. Hopefully they'm have this sell again another time.
