from our 4/25 Wonder Cruise. This was our first cruise with DCL. Along with me were my dh, ds 12, and ds 9.
Words can not express how WONDERful this vacation was. We loved everything about it.
The boys were reluctant to go into the Kids clubs but once there we hardly saw them. They even dumped my husband and I for dinner the last two nights!!
They met some new friends who they hope to keep in touch with.
The food was absolutely WONDERful. Our servers "Cheddar" from Croatia and Matt from New Zealand were the best they absolutely catered to us. If my sons didn't like anything on the menu they went and found something especially for them. I wanted to bring them home so they could continue to wait on me.
We had SPH room 5520. This room had almost no obstructed view at all. I would definately request this room again.
Didn't see our stateroom guy that much at all, we were on the run so much because there was something happening every moment of the day.
Port of Calls: Well, Nassau sorry to say but I thought it was not enjoyable at all. We left our sons on the boat in the clubs thank GOD. Note: Although not guaranteed our beeper did work while we were in Nassau to come and pick up our son.
Nothing like having your camera ripped out of your hand. "NO thank you I do not want my picture taken" You do have to be a little stern with the locals but they will eventually leave you alone. My dh and I spent maybe an hour total in Nassau. We did not do any excursions nor did we go to Atlantis. We enjoyed being on the almost deserted ship the rest of the day.
Castaway Cay: Well here we are again lost for words, Beautiful OMG I could actually live there. We swam, built sand castles, road bikes, and ate just had a great time as a family. Had no problem getting a spot with an umbrella. Also could of had a hammock but didn't want one.
BTW, we were very Surprised to find how the water really stung our eyes. Boy did it hurt.
We would of loved to spend two days here instead of going to Nassau.
The Shows: Were fabulous, my favorites were the Golden MIckeys and DIsney Dreams. Brought tears to my eyes.
My DH loved the comedien/juggler (Forget his name) He was excellent and very funny.
Another thing I absolutely loved was seeing all the little girls in there princess dresses. That really was special. They were sooooo happy. That is one thing I miss not having a little girl, for those times when you do girly things like that.
The CM's were so professional and so friendly and helpful. It's hard to believe that there are sincere, good hearted people in this world.
Well, now that we are back and totally exhausted I need to take a nice long nap to catch up on the sleep I did not get on the ship. I am glad we only did the 4 day cruise it was just the right amount of time for us.
For all of you getting ready to go, I'm JEALOUS!
So, Would I do this cruise again? In a heartbeat

I mean it wasn't a big deal but I was not prepared for it either.
