Well we are back

Had a lovely time, stayed at Cheyenne.

Weather when we arrived was pouring with rain, some woman came up to me, asking me to sign a bit of paper on her clipboard. (just outside the train station) saying she was deaf and wanting money. I did not give her any!

Jumped on the bus to hotel, and stayed in room, getting settled in till rain went off. Then went into Disneyland park.

good

Rest of the weekend the weather was good, and mostly dry other than on Tuesday evening when we had another downpour, and dreams in the rain.

Our room in cheyenne was lovely, very clean, we also had a kettle and a fridge which came in handy. Also a wee pooh bear waiting on the bed for the wee man which was a nice touch.

Parks were mostly quiet and we got everything done we wanted to.

Loved the Descent of the Stairs in Disneyland Hotel

Lost count of the amount of times we did Buzz and Thunder mountain, these were the 2 fave rides.

not so good

Food was a huge issue for us due to allergies, most places were unable to cater for us, tho i expected this to be the case, and made use of the baby care center, heating up what we had brought with us in the microwaves.

He did have a few random mild reactions whilst in the park, possibly due to ppl munching their way though food while waiting in lines etc.

Buffalo Bills was a bit of a let down, they said they would be able to offer a safe option for food, though came out and dumped the 'safe food' on the tin plate that was already there with corn bread on it. Meaning the 'safe food' was no longer safe. Also wee man had a reaction to the horses/buffalo (he's not supposed to b allergic to horses but thats just how we roll).

I did notice people smoking around the park, and in some of the lines, even character lines. They just don't seem to care, walking around with lit cigarettes just at the exact level kids are at.

We got all our ride photos added to our photopass, but when we went to buy the photos on the last day, the ride photos weren't on it :( gutted!

On the whole we enjoyed our trip and would go back again, though wee man said he will only go back again if we stay in the disneyland hotel at the park gates ;)

Welcome back!
Lovely bit of pixie dust in your room! pixiedust: And so glad the weather was mostly fine for you! I am not holding out much hope for us next week as the forecasts have changed and look more gloomy!

Sorry to hear about the issues with food and allergies - I understand they are a nightmare for this as my friend went in 2012 and her husband has a nut allergy; he could hardly eat anywhere!

Overall though sounds like you had a fab trip! I am so pleased! :thumbsup2

really hope weather stays decent for you guys too!

I had waterproof trousers etc with us, tho only used them on the day we arrived and the night b4 we went home, rest of the time the weather was fine.

We're her now - its been showere today but warm for February. Going to pelt it tomorrow for Valentines Day, but hey ho!
Glad you had some Pixie Dust!

How nice for the Pooh Bear pixie dust!

I can't even imagine how difficult/stressful it must be to make sure your son is safe from allergies; I give you a lot of props.

Your son only wants to go if he can stay at the Disneyland Hotel! lol Too cute!

Welcome back!

Nice for the pixie dust pixiedust:

It's a shame about allergy and food issues. I think they probably should pay more attention to it.

But looking at your highs and lows I think you had a good trip.

Welcome home sounds like you had a lovely trip. There is such a lack of understanding about food allergies and some people not realising how devastating the effect it can have On individuals......glad you managed!

Welcome back :) glad you had a great time in spite of the allergy issues and the disappointment of the missing photos.

yes we did enjoy the holiday, loved both parks, and our hotel.

Glad that the parks were not too busy and didn't have to wait too long for anything.

True, most ppl don't realize how difficult dealing with food allergies can be, esp when the risks can cause a life threatening reaction. Also most folk don't realize that people can react to others eating food around an allergic person. Or leaving traces of foods such as nutella for example on tables, surfaces, handles etc
