My husband and I just arrived back last Friday from our first trip with our son Scott (16months) and we had an amazing time. We were there with my Mum, my Aunt, my cousin and his wife and son (Nathan - 3years old) and I can definately say that we all had a brilliant time.
I've never done a trip report before and I would like to do one for this trip if I have the time but I'll just give a quick overview jsut now:
Highs:
- Scott dancing on Main St as soon as we walked under the train station. He's only 1 and he totally gets it!!
- The park looked lovely as usual. Some maintenance going on but it wasn't a problem.
- Getting on Dumbo for the first time! In all the times I've been to either WDW, DLP or DLC I've never been on Dumbo, one of the only rides in all 3 parks I've not done. So it was great to tick that one off with Scott and Rob (my husband).
- The weather was great, really warm and sunny the whole time.
- Crush's Coaster in the Studios! Brilliant ride. Hadn't been on it before as the last time I was in DLP I was pregnant so didn't ride so had to this time round and it didn't dissappoint!
- Spending more time in the Studios, the atmosphere is so much better now than it has ever been it really seems to have found it's feet which is great.
- The kids reactions to the characters was priceless. The characters were great with both Scott and Nathan.
There is definatley much more than that but thats just a snapshot!
There weren't really any lows apart from the smoking issues in both parks. It just seems to happen anywhere and everywhere, but it wasn't really that bad. It wasn't too much of an issue for us and we are a big non-smokers.
We stayed at the Sequioa Lodge for the first time. It was great, the grounds are really lovely - I would recommend it definately.
That is all for now, as I said I'll try and get a trippie done with some photos - when I work out how to do it!
