and like a few others, had a really mixed time! Monday was by far the best day, but overall, things weren't quite what we had been hoping for and we had a couple of awful expriences which ruined yesterday.
Will try to do a trip report in a mo, but here are a few highs and lows!
Highs:
Lotties face when she met Mickey and the Princesses (especially Ariel)
EMH - excellent to be able to walk onto most of the rides - loved Buzz and we were the first on POTC on Monday morning once it had opened!
Once Upon A Dream Parade - had a fab spot oppostie Caseys Corner, so saw the floats as the came round the corner and had picked a spot where they stop and dance!
Hotel Cheyenne - have to say that for the "budget" hotel, we were very impressed with the room, it was lovely and warm and had a cosy feel to it, breakfast was fantastic and we enjoyed the walk to the parks along the river looking at all the other hotels - would definatly stay there again!
Lows:
Lottie being pushed and trampled on by some middle aged woman whilst waiting to see Sleeping Beauty who knocked her flying and stood on her foot. I was very restrained to not push her over aswell. Sleeping Beauty and Prince Phillipe saw what happened and called a sobbing Lottie forward who was trying to explain that she was being good and waiting nicely to see them. They calmed her down and gave her lots of cuddles and chatted with her for ages while the woman was being politely reminded by the CM that it wasn't acceptable! However, Lottie didn't want to met any more characters because she was scared it would happen again.
Eating in Cafe Mickey felt incredibly rushed! We booked for lunch at 12.45 and whilst the characters were doing the rounds, the waitress tried to take our half full plates away while we were chatting with Eeyore - needless to say, Lottie guarded her food very carefully from then on and put her arms around it everytime a waitress came close!
Lunch at Plaza Gardens was not what we were expecting. The food choice wasn't great, it was cold or incredibly greasy and not a pleasant experience, we certainly woulsn't eat again here. To top it off, Lottie had an accident whilst waiting for the loo and not one person would let her go in before them, so she wet herself waiting and that left her totally distraught. I was trying to calm her down and sort her out when some busybody came and started interfering and tried to take Lottie away from me because I had grabbed her by the arm to stop her falling over and started calling me a bad mummy. At that point I picked her up, practically ran out of the restaurant with tears streaming down my face and ended up having to take her into the loos in Fantasyland to sort her out.
Would we do it again?? Probably, but when it was slightly warmer and would try to go midweek to avoid some of the crowds!

??? Those lows sound like a complete nightmare, and it does affect little children - my DD took a good couple of trips before she could get used to the scrums around the characters, and I always have to be right next to her before she'll go anywhere near. It really does upset children, all that pushing and shoving - and by folk who should know better as well!
Some people are just completely nasty!

Am very glad that it happened on the last day and not the first otherwise it would've been a total nightmare to get her anywhere, but she's happy enough now.
what is wrong with some people !
Sounds like crowds and Christmas time have brought out the worst in some people

for you and Lottie. We only do characters at DLRP at the organised queues/character meals too, unless on the very rare occasion we're lucky enough to come upon a random one in the park who isn't being mobbed.
