Hi everyone! We just got back yesterday and it was wonderful! We got married on January 4th at 2:30pm at the WP. Also - here is a mini-review the vendors we used:
Disney/Diane Bowen -- our wedding was as close to perfection as it could be. Everything ran extremely smoothly and I am so glad that we chose to have a Disney wedding!
Randy Chapman and STVS -- do I need to say more? Absolutely wonderful! I can't wait to see the pictures and video. It was a joy working with them and they were one of the best decisions we made pertaining to our wedding.
Beaute Speciale -- wonderful. Very prompt and professional. Ana and Kat did a great job and I'm really glad we went with them.
DJ Steve -- he was great and did a really wonderful job keeping the party going (and with my family, that is a huge accomplishment).
Carolyn Allens -- we ran into a few hiccups along the way, none of which were really their fault and which were quickly resolved. We were supposed to do the tux fitting Wed. morning. Well, the UPS shipment with the tuxes didn't arrive until Wed afternoon so we had to reschedule the appointment to Thurs morning. (They had called on Monday so we were informed well in advance on Wed that we might have to reschedule). The fitting went fine and there were a couple of adjustments that needed to be made to DH's tux, but not a big deal. Then, DH realized he didn't have his tux at about 11pm on Thurs night for our Friday wedding (he thought his dad had picked it up from the CR concierge with his tux, but he hadn't). So, DH then called down to get his tux and the people at the CR said they didn't have it. Sheer panic then broke out. DH called Carolyn Allen's emergency line and they returned the call within 30 minutes -- around 11:30pm. The tux had been dropped off at the CR. When DH had called down to ask for the tux, he said there should be a "package" for him and the CM couldn't translate package into tux. So, make sure you ask for a tux when you call. When DH called the CR back, they were able to find it.
Also, they charged me $20 per additional dress for steamings. When I originally booked (which was around six months ago), it was only $15 per dress. I don't know if the prices went up or what. I didn't complain because I didn't want an argument on my wedding day. I just took note of it and tipped less than I would have. In general, Carolyn Allen's was very nice and we would probably use them again.
'Ohana's -- we had a rehearsal dinner at 'Ohana's. It went very well -- the food and service were wonderful. However -- beware -- they were telling our guests that it was a full, open bar (we had about 50 people). We had no intention of having a full, open bar for everyone, but it was never discussed beforehand. Luckily, not many people in our family drink so it wasn't a big issue, but you may want to address this with them if this is a concern for you.
I hope to post a TR when we get more pictures, but we had a great time and I'm so glad we had a Disney wedding!
