Obviously we had a superb time and I'll fill you in on the details when I do my trippie.
Highlight has to be the celebration yesterday evening we saw the Bougillumination - the effect on the castle with the lit candles is spectacular and the Piste de Resistance is when Tinkerbell sends out jets of what I can only describe as gold fairy dust, Mickey, Lumiere (yes there is a new character) and the dancers on stage at Central Plaza were fantastic, there was an awesome fireworks display and Daniel Powter sang his hit "Bad Day".
It was a superb end to the trip.:)

I do have photographs but the ones over on dlrp.fr are already up and probably far better than anything I've got.:)
ooh and a video.

Sounds like you had a great trip. Look forward to hearing all about it :goodvibes

Glad you had a great time. How did Liams health hold out? Did you see any celebrities? Does the castle look good in real life? Did you buy lots of 15th merchandise?

I am just being nosy Jill ;)

Its great to hear you had a great time. I look forward to reading your trip report.

Really pleased to hear you had a great time, can't wait to read your trip report. Hope Liam felt alot better over the holiday.

Liam was OK he hardly ate anything which meant we changed our restaurants plans and he got tired easily, but he was a real trooper.

You could spend an absolute fortune on 15th Anniversary memorabilia - I limited myself to a new watch.

Well I could see Daniel Powter if I jumped up and down, it certainly sounded like him, but in all honesty it could've been anybody from where I was standing:rotfl:
There was a guy behind us in Casey's Corner who I overheard saying "What am I doing in here I'm a celebrity for goodness sake", so I asked jamie to have a look and see if he recognised him, which he didn't, I wouldn't have given the guy the satisfaction of having me turn around to have a look actually, he was obviously way too far up himself ;)
There were TV cameras and people being interviewed all over the park, but nobody I recognised. There was one really nice English journalist/photographer who moved from his front row spot for me and the boys to watch the Alphabet (you bet) mini parade :thumbsup2 which was really kind.

The castle is superb and in the dark it looks fabulous and even my 2 DS's admitted the parade was something special, they weren't particularly keen on the Princess parade. :confused3

Sounds like you had an awesome time Jill, can't wait to see it all for myself at the weekend! :yay:

Glad Liam held out too, what a star!!! :dogdance:

... it was indeed a fantastic spectacle! I really liked the candles on the castle, and the pixie dust. I saw it again yesterday, at 6 pm, and it just wasn't the same, because well.... the sun was shining, and if you didn't know what was happening, you couldn't really see candles going on and goldish pixie dust.

What I don't understand is that:
1. They have so many good Disney songs, and then they don't choose one of those for the celebration
2. Why ask someone to sing a song called "BAD day" on such a celebration??? I really don't get that! :confused3

We were not on main street for the fireworks, but at the entrance to Discoveryland (where the AP-bureau is), and we just had the BEST view of everything!!!!

Pics of the fireworks will follow (if they turn out well)

Were you one of the last out of Discoveryland ?
When we were in the area around Plaza Gardens just after the announcement they were moving everyone away and down onto Main Street.

sounds fantastic, glad you both had such a fantastic time.:goodvibes

Something like that, yes :)

I knew the park closed at 8 pm, and shareholder's club had told me the event was private. However, on the time planning was mentioned that everyone was welcome on Main Street at 8.40 for the show and fireworks. It kinda confused me, especially since many of the CMs didn't know whether it was going to private or not.

SO, my reasoning was: as long as we hide IN the park, they won't throw us out. After we went on iasw, and tried to go to "inner Fantasyland", they chased us out of Fantasyland. Buzz Lightyear had a 30 minute wait, BUT, as long as we were in line, we weren't been trown out of the park. (I was been told that Main Street was reserved for the press, and I was afraid that once we would be at the entrance of the park, they would kick us out and say that we can watch the fireworks from Fantasia Gardens or so!) So, we went on Buzz (the line closed about 10 people after us) and by the time we got out, we weren't allowed on Main Street anymore, and could stay at the Discoveryland entrance (between Plaza restaurant and AP-bureau, where the lava rocks are)

Great view on stage and the castle, although they didn't pipe in the music (Discoveryland music was still on during the whole event!)

The funny thing was : even if we wanted to leave, we couldn't!

I am planning to do about the same thing on the 12th.
Btw, regarding the 12, I asked about every CM what was going to happen. Answer: they don't even know it yet. probably there will be a show like Saturday, with fireworks, but smaller. I can live with that...

Welcome back the both of you!:goodvibes Looking forward to reading your reports and seeing your pics, glad you had a great time despite the whole media thing!
