Hi Everyone!!
Flew back into Gatwick at half 9 this morning, kids were crying, didnt want to come home!
Had a fantastic time, the wedding was beautiful, and we're all absolutely gutted that its now all over. We loved all the parks, but felt we just about skimmed Epcot and AK.
Thank you for everyone that helped with our first trip, we're already thinking of Trip No 2, but we cant afford it for another 2 or 3 years! Still, thats another 3 years of planning to look forward to.
A couple of points to make - we stayed on I Drive as non drivers - simple for Univerval, Wet 'n' Wild & Seaworld. Very hard to get to WDW. We had 3 early PS's for breakfast and caught taxis on these days (about $35 inc tip). One afternoon we went to Typhoon Lagoon - we left our hotel at 1pm and didnt get to TL until about quarter to 4. That was a nightmare.
We did our one night in ASM after MNSSHP. Loved It. So have decided that next time we will do a week on I-Drive covering those parks and a week in WDW dedicated to Disney.
Ive read a couple of posts re Pirates Dinner Adventure - we had "free" tickets for this, through First For Attractions - but we still ended up somehow having to pay $80!! The food was poor and we didnt really have a clue what was going on in the show, but the atmosphere was good, and the kids did enjoy it.
Why or why did I not listen to those of you saying "skip the Virgin Welcome Meeting"?????!!! I dragged the family along on our first morning, even though we had pre-booked EVERYTHING! We had to look at brochures, watch videos, the place was packed and we had to wait 2 hours to get our free Hard Rock Cafe tickets. NOT WORTH IT.
Definite highs were all the parks and I would do a trip report giving detailed info on what we did (or didnt) do, but Id hate to bore you all rotten!!
So thanks again everyone, I'll need to change my User Name to LorraineD now that I have a DH!!! We do have a CD rom of the wedding pics, but I havent a clue how to upload them to show you all!!!
Any questions - post away!!!!! I can give advice to first timers now!!!!!!
