Just wanted to thank everyone on these boards - I learned so much and it made our vacation a huge success.
We spent a week at WDW and then one week on the Magic to the Eastern. We returned today. It was sad to go and the shock when we returned via Buffalo to Toronto ie the weather was lets just say overwhelming.BRRRRRR
We had such a lovely time. Stayed at POR in a Mansion for 85.00 and were upgraded to a Garden View Room. Everything was perfect. The weather was fabulous (except for the first day - it rained) - Anyone going should try BOMA at Animal Kingdom Lodge - The buffet was outstanding and was recommended by a Cast Member - lots of interesting good things to try - Their butternut squash soup is out of this world - I even asked for the recipe.
The cruise was the icing on the cake - this was our first cruise and we were so impressed with the attention to all the detail. Our two girls - age 5 and 21 months loved the children's activities. Palo's was wonderful and we really felt pampered and special.
The weather on the cruise and the islands was great. Yesterday at Castaway Cay it was sunny and +29 degrees - blue water, sandy white beaches - it was paradise. My husband (this was his first trip to WDW and the first cruise for both of us - is already talking about doing this again next year.
This truly was the best vacation we have ever taken! Thanks again for all your advice - these boards are great.
Denise
