Overall, it wasn't a bad trip but I'm not sure if we'll do October again!!! Let me start with the good/great stuff!!! On our arrival day at Old Key West, we walked around the resort a bit(which is beautiful!!), then headed over to Typhoon Lagoon!! WoW!! We all loved it!!! OKW was a very nice resort but it is very spread out but I knew that from these boards so it wasn't a big deal. The kids loved the main pool area, overall we enjoyed the resort. WE went to Chef Mickey's for dinner and we all had a blast, I can't believe we had never done it before, it was really fun!! I was a bit dissapointed that there was no photopass guy but not a big deal, food was awesome and so was Sunday bar. Wednesday we go to LOEMH, more people than I thought but still not crowded, a bit disappointed at the Dumbo ride, Stitch first pointed to my son to go on the ride with him and as the castmember was asking him, he pointed to someone else, and he ended up going. It was just weird. Around 11am we went to Ohana's with Lilo and Stitch. Awesome, not as energetic as Chef Mickey's but that was okay, papaya juice was WOW!!!! I've got to find a way to get some of that!!Breakfast was really good, again no photopass person.
We then went back to Magic Kingdom, it was so busy lines for rides were somewhat long, but it was the swarms of people everywhere while trying to get from point A to B, there was even a line to get into Minnie's house!!, around 6pm we went to Mgm so we could eat and then watch Fantasmic, we got there 45 min before the show and it was standing room only.
The show was of course amazing!! The next morning(our anniversary), we go to MGM, we don't get there till about 1pm, we switched to the Marriott Horizons and picked up a few groceries. MGM, again, everything packed wait time of about 1/2 hour, but again, it was the swarms of people everywhere that was more frustrating than the lines. We had reservations at coral Reef for 6:20pm, so around 4pm, we head over to Epcot, we do the Crush thing, Nemo ride walk around a bit, then head over to the restaurant. WOW!!! We had a tankside table and the kids loved it as well as my husband, the food was awesome, and everyone got a kick out of the the scuba diver with the sign for our anniversary. Afterwards, we walked around the countries and watched Illuminations!! Beautiful!!! Friday, we went to Universal Studios, again very crowded, but it really sucked here because they have no express pass unless you pay $50/person, no thank you!!! Saturday we did some shopiing at the outets
then hedaed back to the pool at Horizons!!! Sunday, we decided to Islands of Aventure, not as bad as Universal Studios crowd wise and it was pretty fun. Monday we moved to the Nick Hotel and the room was ready(9:30am) so we unloaded had lunch and then we decided to try MGM and while it wasn't quiet, lines were manageable, but still the amount of people walking around was crazy!! Went back to hotel for dinner and to hang around the pool some more. Tuesday, got up very early(5am
) for our 1st ever hot air balloon ride. It was amazing and worth every penny. I'll post the business name later, I can't think of it right now!! after that we went back to the hotel rested swam some more and then got ready for MNSSHP, I was very surprised, because it was Tuesday night, I really thought it would be somewhat calm. It was packed!!!!! Huge lines for everything but the rides, which was fine, because we went on everything except HM, the lines for candy was insane, lines for Characters were pretty bad, and I was sure that at last years party there were 2 hallowishes shows, because there was only one it was awfully packed, we ended up watching them near it's a small world because it was so packed. It was kind of neat view but not the same, the parades were awesome as always and I know I'm going to get flamed here, but if you're over 4 feet tall and are in the very front row, then sit down on the curb so people behind you can see or at least take pictures!!! I had my camera over my head trying to get pictures and I still kept getting the back of this guys head in every shot(Who by the way, was with 4 other adults, no kids) I know bring on the flames, but I'm sorry, I know we all paid to go the party but if I was standing in the way of a little kid and all I had to do was sit so they could see, I'd do it. Also, the candy lines, I really believe there were more adults than kids in some of the lines. The candy they were giving out was great and plentiful by the way. The kids had fun and didn't seem to care that there mobs of people everywhere we went for the most of the times we were at the parks, it was just a huge adjustment for us, this was our 3rd time going in October and while it's never been quiet, it was always fun because there were comfortable amounts of crowds, this year was crazy though. Maybe we were just having a little bit of bad luck, I don't know, but I'd have to really think about October in the future!!!
Overall the trip was great!!!! Just frustrating at times with the crowds!!! Please don't think I'm a whiny person, I'm still very grateful that we were able to go at all. I guess we just got use to October being a nice month to go. Thanks for letting me vent!!
