We're back from surprising our kids– a grateful family -with pics and video.

Thanks everyone! Hopefully, this time tonight we'll be eating dinner at PM at CSR or swimming (they'll need to work off some of that energy).

I just mowed the lawn. I have a few things to do this evening once the boys go to bed and the rest to do as soon as DS8 leaves for school at 8:45 tomorrow morning.

They still have no clue - DS13 was asking if he could invite a friend over for part of the day on Friday because they're off of school. We both said "sure." DS8 talks about the field trip he's going to on Thursday to Utz Potato Chip factory. He just doesn't know he's going on an even better field trip! :lmao:

Talk to you all when I get back. I'll be posting the pics of the BIG REVEAL as soon as I can after we get back. We get back late on the 21st and I go back to work on the 22nd. :sad2:

Be prepared for LOTS of pictures.

Hi,
I just wanted to wish you a fun and magical trip! I just caught up on your Pre TR. So exciting! Please post as soon as you return! :)

Thanks. I was just putting nail polish on my toes and my sister called. My father just fell AGAIN and was refusing to go to the E.R. and my sister wants me to meet her at father's apt. :scared1: I told her to go there and see what he looks like and to call me as I just did my toes and by the time she gets there they will be dry and I can go. My sister is supposed to leave tomorow morning at 5:30 for New Orleans for a business trip. She never tells me when she is travelling so I went ahead and scheduled our trip. :sad2:

Just try to enjoy your trip! Have fun tomorrow. Can't wait to hear how the boys react. We thought about making our trip a surprise, but our DS(7) has autism and he needs to be prepared or it would be a nightmare. Have a great trip and travel safe.

I hope your father is ok!

TODAY IS THE DAY!!!!! YAY!!!

HAve a great time!:dance3:

Thank you. You're right about your son - he needs to be prepared. I'm a little worried about DS13 because of his ADHD and his needs to know what's coming, but, we think he'll be ok.

I hope your father is ok!

My father is OK. My sister and BIL are cleared him and I didn't need to go over and assess him. Just asked my sister some questions to check him out. Thanks for asking.

See everyone after we get back! One kid is out the door and knows nothing and the other kid will be leaving in 10 minutes. :cool1: Time to go finish packing. DS8 thinks I'm down here working. :lmao:

I hope everything is OK with your Dad! Have a great trip!!! I can't wait to see lot of pics when you get back!!! :goodvibes I can only imagine how excited their going to be when they findout!

Oh my gosh the suspense is KILLING me! lol, I'm from Baltimore too, and also got a pin code, must have been a mass Baltimore mailing! Not complaining though. :goodvibes I'm definitely subscribing! Enjoy your trip!

Sherri,
Can't wait to hear from you when you get back from your trip hoping you are having a magical time.
Also am wondering how your father is doing.

Quick update! We got home around 10 PM last night. I don't know what I was thinking when I didn't put in for taking off work today too.:scared1: Talk about not being smart. I was totally brain dead all day and am getting ready to go to sleep.

The surprise went great and I'll post some pics very soon - I promise! They were totally surprised and had no idea. Both of them are glad that we did it- even DS13 who likes to plan things and know what is coming. They had a great time and didn't even complain when they came home from school today with a lot of make-up work.

I will be waiting patiently (like being couch bound I have a choice to not be patient)to read all about your trip and to see your pictures I LOVE DISNEY PICS.
I am glad the surprise went well, I can only imagine how thrilled they were.

Time to start.

At 11:30 last Wednesday, we had a meeting at DS13’s school with his teachers. Meeting went great and we got good reports from everyone. When the meeting was over we went into the office and asked them to call DS13 out of class – it was perfect timing as P.E. was just ending and he would be going to lunch. He came into the office, said “hi” and started to leave to go to lunch. We told him we were taking him out of school for the rest of the day and he had the most curious look on his face as he went back to his locker to get his backpack. He started to ask a lot of questions and we just kept responding with “we have some place we have to go.”

Off to the elementary school and we called DS8 out of his class just as he was getting ready to go to lunch. Off we drove to the airport.

I had left a couple of their “electronic” toys like their mp3s or ipods in the back seat on purpose, hoping they would pick them up and entertain themselves which they did. Those things are like magnets. As we got closer to the airport one of them said “are we near the airport?” and we told them we were in the area. I finally found the parking lot that we had decided to use and the little bus met us at our car. I distracted them as DH spoke with the attendant and quickly got the luggage out of the car onto the bus (didn’t want them seeing the Disney tags). I handed them their backpacks (that I had packed with everything they would need for flying) and told them to get on the bus. They had no idea where they were or what was going on.

We got dropped off at Air Tran and told the boys to go into the terminal as we checked in our luggage. We walked thru security with them still asking questions and we told them “we had things to take care of.” They truly believed us. We sat down at our gate and at that point we told them that only people who are flying on planes can get through security.

“Really? Where are we going?”

“We’re flying to Orlando. Didn’t you see the cupcake?” (the cupcake was for my uncle)

“I wondered if that cupcake was for Uncle Marv. We’re really flying to Orlando? We’re going away? How long?”

“Long enough. You’re teachers know you’ll be out of school. You’re already off on Friday. We’re going on that airplane”

If they only knew the rest of the story....:cool1:

Oh gosh! I give you credit! I would have been screaming, "we're going to Disney" from the second I had them together! I can't wait to read more! :)

Oh my gosh! I can't wait, lol, I thought that last look from your oldest son was his surprise face, but I guess we have another thing coming! Ah I can't wait!:rotfl2:
