On two of our off parks days,we went resort hopping. If you have never done it,do it,it's cool. The first day we went to the resorts that are on the monorail line.First, the Contemporary. It was cool,we looked around and taped some.We saw Chef Mickey's with the characters all walking around in there. We wouldn't eat there even as stand bys, that is just too expensive to pay for, just to eat and watch the characters.(there are some limitations that I put on my Disney trips and expensive eating is one of them). The Contemporary is alright, but I don't believe I would stay there, especially because of the cost.Next we went to the Polynesian Village. Now this place I liked a lot.Got a lot of it on tape too.Inside and out.I liked the atmosphere that I felt there,it felt good.I'd stay there,if it wasn't so expensive.Might even actually check prices one day for a trip.Next was the Grand Floridian Hotel.Nice in every way, enjoyed listening to the man playing the piano for a while, but I don't think that place is for me.Too ritzy and I felt kinda out of place there. We are not rich people and not even upper middle class in income, just average people, looking for average prices for an excellent vacation.Me and my wife stayed at the Peabody on International Dr.back in 1987,when it was a part of Disney packages back then, and I didn't like it one bit.I felt just like a fish out of water.I just don't like that uppity attitude that everyone seems to have that stays there and works there. It's all for show and to see who can outdo who,and I don't care for it.Enough said. The next off day,we went to the FT.Wilderness resort and let the girls ride the ponys there. Then we petted some goats and looked around. It was still early enough before lunch,so after we looked around in the general store, checked in about menu and prices at Trails End for lunch,we went by boat over to the Ft.Wilderness Lodge. Now that is my kinda place.I'd stay there in a heartbeat!Of course prices dictate where I can stay.We went all through that place looking and taping. We thought about eating there at Whispering Canyon Cafe, but the prices were better for us back at Trails End at the campground.Prices weren't bad though,we just wanted the other. That place had a peacefulness to it,and I like that.We took another boat back to Ft.Wilderness resort and ate lunch at Trails End.Very good.Their lunch buffet consisted of soup, chili, your choice of sandwiches, casseroles, salad, and dessert.Buffet without sandwich was $6.50 and $1.00 more for unlimited sandwiches.Good deal, huh?Child's buffet was $3.95 plus $1.00 for their sandwich add on.We enjoyed it very much.(Personally,I don't know what the people that posts bad food reviews on the restaurant thread expects, cause our food at all restaurants was just fine.So why they post bad reviews and trash the restaurants,I don't know).Go to part 5 for more.

we are hoping to spend at least a half of day on our upcoming trip resort hopping. I can't wait to see how the other half lives ;) thanks for posting
