Thursday we went to Animal Kingdom, which was the first time that we have been there. But check this out:This was a total surprise to my girls. We weren't going to go there, cause I am not much into animals and zoos. But before yall jump down my throat,I fully enjoyed it,completely.Well anyway, when we got ready to catch the bus to go to AK,I had previously told the girls that I had a big surprise for them.so when my wife and I saw the bus approaching,we had the girls cover their eyes and walking toward the bus,we walked them around in a circle so they wouldn't know which line we were heading for.Two guys saw what we were doing and cheered us and gave the thumbs up sign.I almost cried right there. When we got on the bus,I went last and I leaned over to the driver and whispered to him that it was a surprise for my girls and that if he could, that he would not announce that the bus was going to AK.He nodded ok.When we arrived at the bus drop off area,he started to announce, but stopped and said have a nice day,I guess he forgot for a moment.I thanked him from my heart when we got off.I had the girls cover their eyes again and walked them to the front entrance, got our camera ready and let them look.Yep,you guessed it,they were very surprised and I hugged them and started crying a little.(I'm just an old softy when it comes to my girls). We had a great time.No line waiting at all.We went back to the back and rode the Kilamanjari Safari ride, saw some animals but not like I thought we should.I especially love how there is so much greenery all around, making it look so tropical, plus more shade and cooler.WE did it all, except for the Tarzan show,we missed that.I loved the Dinosaur ride. It's a bug's life was cool. That tree,my goodness it's big!One sad thing though,I believe they have done away with the area where kids could dig for dinosaur fossils. We went into the boneyard playground, but never could find the digging part. But,they are building something new right beside the boneyard,so maybe the digging part was done away with for the new attraction. All in all,we liked AK.It poured down rain on us right near the last hour,so we left about an hour early. No problem.Go to part 4 for more.

I'm so glad you enjoyed AK. It gets a bad rap a lot and we happen to love it. I haven't seen Tarzan Rocks yet but hope to in about a week!

The show was fun and really was like a rock concert, but wow was it HOT in that theater last week! Unfortunately, we couldn't wait until it was over due to the heat. Be sure to fill your water bottles before going in to see the show!

eyes too........I do like this place.....even thought it was hotter than a firecracker a few weeks ago......thanks so much for posting

Maybe I'm just lucky or better yet, blessed of God,because my girls seem to mind me when I have little things like their surprise to AK in the works. It wasn't hard to get them to keep their eyes closed and covered. If they had any ideas that we were going to AK,they never let on like they knew. The weather for us at that time there was quite pleasant.Yeah,it was hot and humid, but with all of the tropical shrubbery and trees, there was a lot of shade to be under.
Thanks
