I have been planning several trips in the near future to Disney and have spent countless hours on these boards looking for advise and suggestions.
Yesterday, we decided to drive three hours and check things out for ourselves. We took the timeshare tour and had dinner at Spoodles we also visited several other restaurants walked in and looked a the buffet table and atmosphere. This is what we thought
Spoodles for lite dinner was good. We had about five or six "tapas" and some wine and it was reasonable and filling. The table nest to me had some fettucine dish and it looked very nice. The service was excellent. It was not a great restaurant foodwise but a good place to stop and have a lite reasonably priced meal.
We visited Park Faire 1900 (sp?). We did not like the configuration of this restaurant at all. It looked like an L and the restaurant was very narrow. The buffet looked fresh and
plentiful but I was not overwhelmed by the atmosphere. Did not book this.
The Tea Room at the Floridian looked beautiful but they were not serving tea. My husband refused to book here.
Narcosee's had a nice location and by far it was the busiest resort restaurant we visited. People with PS were waiting over 30 minutes. I peered through the windows to see the platters and the portions looked fine. We booked for July 4th
Victoria and Albert's doors were closed. We booked for our anniversary based on the reviews we got from hotel guests who had just eaten there the night before.
Boma's- we got there after 9PM and although no people were on line it was still full. It was so dark I could not see two inches in front of me. I am told the place is dark because of the animals. I have been to Africa and it has the bluest skys and the brightest sun. I don't undertand why the restaurant looks so dark. Everyone walking out of the restaurant that we inteviewed was raving about the desserts. We booked here for breakfast. I have night blindness. LOL
Ohan'as the food they were serving looked delicious. It was not too crowded. The CM's were so nice here. As a matter of fact the whole atmosphere at this resort has gone unchanged since the last time I visited (1982). We booked a meal here for our next trip. We sat on the beach and watched the fireworks. It was a very nice experience.
Cape May looked like fun and the food looked fresh. We booked it for breakfast.
We booked Chef Mickey although we did not go there. That PS had been made a long time ago
