I have a neighbor who is a CMC and did a borders class for the neighborhood gals. I do not use many CM products but I do love their shapemakers so I went. We made the cutest borders. One with ornaments, a Halloween one with a spider, ghost and Frankenstein, a flower one, one with turtles and fish (great for our neighborhood as we have a million boys and a creek and pond), one with snowmen and the last one had bees and lady bugs.

All easy to make, plus a night out. I would love to see a book come out from CM on borders. That is something I would probably buy from them.

How cool! I wish one of our local ladies did things like that! They sound really cute. Do you have a way of posting them? I'd love to see them!

My consultant has put together border kits. Everything you need to make the borders except of the pen, cutters and adhesive. One set you were able to make about 24 borders. She also put together a Heritage border kit.

I know that she got the instructions from other CM consultants.

They are fun and easy to put together.

I have been to a boarder making class my CM cons. called a Hip to be Square crop and we made borders using the square maker.
I have a friend who did an entire album - she is trying to get caught up on her family albums and I believe this was all of her family's 1999 photos - with borders and it looks great.
I have several albums to work on and love the border ideas. I would really appreciate copies of any examples or instructions you get for boarders - and will share those that I have if you are interested.
I just borrowed several examples from the friend who did the boarder book but I can't decide if I should try to scan them into the computer - my scanner only goes to 11 inches in length though - or to put them on a white back ground and try to photograph them. Has any one done this with examples? Many years ago when I was a CM cons. I had boxes of photos of page examples that I took at crops whenever I saw a page layout that I liked so I am leaning toward the photo idea - what do you all think?

My CMC is in the process of setting up a Borders class for her clients. It's in 2 weeks. We're supposed to do late winter/spring topics - Valentine's Day, Easter, Swimming, etc. This is her first try at this class, so we're hoping she'll do more.

I wish I knew how to post them. I am not that computer literate. I can photograph them and download to my computer but after that I am clueless. Only downloaded once because DD needed a picture for school and I was able to print it but it took me about 15 minutes just to do that. I might be able to figure out how to e-mail them but not sure how long it would take.

1. At the top of this (or any) DIS page - above where it tells you the name of the board, click on "Pictures/Video".

2. Just to the right of those cute little girls with Mickey & Minnie, click on "Add your own Disney pictures here."

3. On the right side (top) choose "Log in" & do so. It's the same log-in info as using the boards.

4. On the right side (top) choose "Upload photos".

5. Click one of the "Browse" buttons & navigate to the folder where your picture is on your hard drive/computer.

6. Once you have highlighted the picture you want to post, click "Open". This takes you back to the page with all those "Browse" buttons.

7. Click "Upload/Submit".

8. On the next page you can add a title, description, etc. When done ,click "Process files."

That should be it! You can view what you've added by going to "My Gallery. To add it to your post, left-click on the picture. On the new page, right-click on the picture (now top-center, and choose "Properties". Highlight what you see behind "Address" - starting with "http://" and ending with ".JPG" That's what you want to add to your post. Either use the icons in the full reply mode, or in "Quick Reply" mode you can add
and that will add it for you.

I hope that is clearer than mud because I'd love to see the borders you ladies have done! ;)

I will try. One more ?. How do I find the imagine on my computer??? Sounds really dumb, but I haven't done it enough to know what I am doing. I will print these directions and try. Thanks.

Sorry to sound ignorant, but what's a CMC?? Thanks

Directions are clear and have beenable to follow so far. I am downloading my pics on the computer. I am at 30 of 186 so it will be a while. I did find out where to find the pics. Hopefully I will have them soon.

CMC = Creatative Memories Consulant

Mine is doing a disney borders in April Can we say EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WDWMom - Sorry I wasn't here to answer your question. DS dropped off DDIL's scrapping tools & I've been playing all afternoon. I just never bothered to log off. I'm glad you were able to find your images. :)

WDWMom - Although MANY ideas come from other CMCs, I get 50 to 75% of my ideas from Page Patterns (a CM product). You buy a binder and dividers (if you want) and then new idea packs come out quarterly. I love it. CM has Fast Formulas too, which is pretty similar. I prefer Page Patterns, though. Glad you had fun! I really like my Borders Classes.

I also am a Page Patterns addict. I have them all dating back to 2002; the latest Fast Formulas book (#4) also has some basic border ideas in it. The Page Patterns are how I do the majority of my layouts- I see a cute one; adopt it with my own papers/stickers, copy it, and wa-la- new and fun layout that took little thinking on my part!

I used to have a Disney border file on my computer....let me go take a gander to see if it's still there. Edited to add- I do....but it's copyrighted and I cannot upload them to the boards. If you PM me with your email address in the next couple of days, I will email them to you...but I'm scheduled to give birth in the next week, so if you don't hear back from me, that' why! This is a couple of years old, so you may have already seen these.

I tried to post them, and failed miserably. I will try again. This just isn't working well.

Don't your pictures have to be in some kind of "online" album to be loaded on the Dis? I don't think you can post them directly from your computer's hard drive. I could be wrong, but I think that is what I have heard in the past....P

Actually, what you can't do is link to them while they are ONLY on your hard drive. You can post them to photo post (the pictures/video link) directly. When you put them into photo post, they are then on-line. Does that make sense?

I never used to put things there except Disney stuff. I assumed that's what it was for. However, quite a few people do it with their non-Disney siggy pix. So now I'll upload pix of craft items to share with you. I do tend, though, to remove them after a couple months. There's no point in leaving them there forever. kwim?
