We don't like them at all, and this is coming from 2 people who love fresh cut fries with the skins left on them. We wish they would bring back the old fries.

I like Wendy's new fries better than their old ones, but I sitll think McDonald's has the best.

Just as with the previous ones, they are never cooked enough.

I loved fries. Wendy's old fries, bad. New fries. Just as bad. One thing that Wendy's can't do is fries. Yuck.

I hate that they don't cook their fries long enough. There is nothing worse than a soggy french fry. (OK, there are things worse than a soggy french fry, but not when I want a good french fry).

I :lovestruc well-done fries, so those soggy things Wendy's tries to pass off as fries, whether the old ones or new, are just plain disgusting.

I don't eat at Wendy's very often but I used to like their old fries. I've tried the new fries once, and they tasted like cardboard. Gross.

Antifoaming agent? I didn't realize that french fries foamed. :rotfl:

Have you ever boiled potatoes? The foam is from the starch. :)

ETA: I don't mean the above question to sound snarky. I was truly asking. :)

We've tried them and I'm not a fan. Way too salty.

You don't have an option that fits our thoughts.

They are HORRID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Their fries use to be sooo good. Now they are just gross. I don't know what about them we don't like - we love the natural cut fries at Penn Station, but can not eat these.

We have been to Wendy's 3 times since they switched over and after the first try, we all get a different side with our meal.

And yes, we have sent Wendy's corporate offices comments on the fact that their change is one of the worst ones they could have done.

 My bad. I'll chalk one into the missing 'HORRID' option.

I never liked their old fries and I won't try the new ones because I have stopped eating fast food and most fried foods.

Definitely a healthy choice. I'm sure your arteries are thanking you.
Mine on the other hand are probably in there screaming 'abuse!' :scared1:

Just finished some McD's fries. Yummy in my tummy. :)

Mmmm.... Starch.

No snarkiness taken. (I love the word snarky, btw.)

:stir: Boiling? That's that thingy that water does when it's really hot, right? ;)

No, it's a good question. I don't cook a whole lot. I've been trying to start cooking decent meals for DH and I more often. The things I do cook are usually pretty good. But I don't recall boiling potatoes. DH has since he likes to make mashed potatoes from scratch for Thanksgiving.

I still think antifoaming agent sounds like a funny ingredient. Even if it does make perfect sense. :)

I voted that I like them about the same as the old fries which means I do not like them very much at all. French fries are probably my favorite food and Wendys is the only place I don't order them.

Weak. Nobody does fries as good as Mickey D's and I don't know why that is.

I'm a Technician at a large french fry producer we make over 1.1 billion with a B pounds of fries a year, we make the new wendy's fries and they are a pain in the a** to make. Skin on products always cause issues because of the skin not letting the unpealed potaoes flow right in the water systems.

We have also made McDonald's fries, they uses a 2 part oil that contains ,a now fake, beef tallow. That's what gives them the different tatse.

When you see 1.5million pounds a day of potatoes and fries none are good. Besides like most food people have no idea how it's made and if they did they wouldn't eat anything they didn't grow or kill themselves.

If beef tallow is 'fake beef tallow' and the meat flavoring is artificial, wouldn't that still make them vegeterian since there is actually NO meat product used in the product? :confused3

Thanks for sharing!

I personally do NOT like the new Wendy's fries. I found them to soft/mushy...I like crispier fries

I make them more than the old ones, but we don't go to Wendy's very often, and the new fries don't change that.

Yes they can now be considered vegetarian safe but not vegan safe. As the "fake" beef tallow is milk & wheat direved.

As far as vegeterian that's up to the person eating them. I do know McD's are the only non Kosher product we make. A Rabbi is flown in after each run to re-bless the plant, as there is not a Jewish community in our province. This is done to keep the other few hundred brands we make Kosher.

And I still get a laugh when some US brands we make refer to Idaho potatoes on the packaging, it's only a few thousand KM away guess that counts as the same place.

I hate them. They taste like dirt and acorns.

(pre-emptive strike, what I IMAGINE those things would taste like)

I like them. I'm a fry person though. I don't know if I have had a fry that I didn't like. :lmao:
