Oh believe me, I know. I lived in South FL for 15 years before moving to Kansas. One of the first things I noticed when I moved is how "fluffy" the news is here compared to the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale/Palm Beach tri-county news. They actually had a TOP STORY here a few months back about a woman who ALMOST got into a car accident!Back in FL, that wouldn't have even made the news, there would be too many shootings, murders, fires and whatnot to report.
I hear you on that one. I moved from Palm Beach County last year and that was a top reason. Where I live now is not all roses and rainbows, but it is a major improvement. Here the really bad stuff seems to mostly happen in a small area and I just don't go there. I never felt safe living in FL, here I sleep like a baby.
