Wenches Party with the Pirates! Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirate named Jack Sparrow for me!

You should charge admission for people to come and see your Disneyfied house! :rotfl2:

I showed the pictures of your Ohana breakfast to my DF and he loved it. He wanted to know if we were going there on our upcoming trip. I told him no and he got so sad! I just called and got us ADR's so we can go :goodvibes

I love your house and that chandelier is sooo cool!!!!

My DW has officially been cut off reading this thread! :lmao:

She's seen your house and absolutely loves all of your Disney stuff. Actually I should be the one that's cut off  because I want it too! We saw the chandalier (sp?) on disneyshopping the other night and thought it was very beautiful! Unfortunately DisneyShopping can't ship us the giant mickey head mirror because we live in Canada...but we can get a square one that is wrought iron too. It's on sale right now for 50% off ($35) but it's going to cost us the same amount to get it shipped here! I told DW that we're just going to have to move closer to WDW...unfortunately there is no use for Oil & Gas Engineers in Florida....

Hi Lindsey!!!! Your house looks so great! It looks like you're going for the whole classy Disney look like I am :) It's so Disney, but yet sophisticated. Disney Shopping has some really amazing furniture and home decor items!

I also wanted to say I know who the first DISer was that you saw at the Ohana breakfast. Her user id is Belle83007. She was there for her wedding planning session and just wrote in her TR that she met you.

Subscribing!! What a beautiful home, Lindsey! So lovely. And that marshmallow thingamabob looks delicious. I think I'm going to have to snag one of those on my next trip down! pirate:

Lindsey- Your new home is beautiful!!! Congratulations!!! My 3 yo is totally loving all of your photos! She is jumping up and down in front of the computer, pointing and screaming (in joy!:goodvibes ) at them.

Thanks for sharing!

I really have to try Goofy's Candy Co someday- I keep missing it!

LOVE your house! I must confess I've been checking out FL real estate lately, even though there's no way I can afford to buy a house anytime soon!

Your house is so beautiful!!! I love the frames you have your wedding pictures in! I love the red in your dining room also! Thanks for sharing the pictures.

I think I am going to have to try Goofy's Candy Co come Oct...it looks too yummy. Can't wait to read more!!!

I absolutely love the colours you've chosen for your house. It's just gorgeous! It's so great that you found a way to display all your FTW stuff. So much of mine is packed away for now :(

n25002324_31661074_5369.jpg

Oooh, I have that Tinkerbell picture on the right! :) I love all the pictures of your house (I looked through your albums on facebook!)...so much Disney, but it's really tasteful. :thumbsup2

I also think I need to get one of those ICEEs...those cups are really cute!

Great trip report...it's way more fun reading this than doing homework. :thumbsup2

I ate at GF Cafe for my b-day in June and really enjoyed it. The food and service was excellent...plus I got a Cinderella Slipper for dessert. Hope you have a great dinner!!!

We had a wonderful dinner, wonderful food, and wonderful service! :yay: DH & I were very impressed! I loved seeing everyone there celebrating Valentine's Day! I'll post some pictures of the yummy food soon! :) I am so glad we went!

I love your TRs- so many photos and such fun stories that you tell! So excited to see a new one from you! :cheer2: Your new house looks so warm and cozy!

p.s. Did you ever find your memory card you were looking for back on your Food Review TR?

No, I am sad to report that I never found my memory card. :sad2: I figured out that I had to have deleted all the photos by mistake. Oh well, I am glad I now have more photos to make-up for it! :thumbsup2

i love how you decorated your house! that's my dream...a mickey/disney house!! maybe i should have my own house first and not live with my parents...hahahah! love the report! i love pirates...i'm a sucker for them!

My room growing up was an entire Disney room for most of my life! I wish I could find older pictures of my room and I would post them! Hmmm...maybe it's time to go hunting! :goodvibes

I  your Mickey house! I wish DH would let me do that to ours, but alas, no dice. I do have a relatively Mickey kitchen, though...

Loving your reports, too! I had no idea that Goofy's candy co. had build your own icee cups and build your own candy! We definitely have to hit that place in Aug.! :)

I also love your cabinet of FTW stuff AND your shot glass display...I TOTALLY need those, for sure! Where did you get them...??

Can't wait for the next installment! :thumbsup2

c

Thanks so much! My dream ever since I was little was to have a Coca-Cola/50's kitchen and a Mickey bathroom! :rotfl2: Well, let's just say...the dream has come true! I'm still working on the kitchen! :thumbsup2 The shot glass cabinet is a cheap CD shelf I actually bought from Wal-Mart years ago and the Curio cabinet is pretty inexpensive too. DH and I found it at Sam's Club last summer. We are into mostly black furniture, so we wanted to find a black one. There are many beautiful Curio cabinets out there everywhere! :)

You should charge admission for people to come and see your Disneyfied house! :rotfl2:

That's so funny you say that because that's what my friends and family have always said about my bedroom! :rotfl2: It was always a shrine to so many things and covered wall to wall! It really was like a cheap and tacky museum! I loved it! :goodvibes

I showed the pictures of your Ohana breakfast to my DF and he loved it. He wanted to know if we were going there on our upcoming trip. I told him no and he got so sad! I just called and got us ADR's so we can go :goodvibes

I love your house and that chandelier is sooo cool!!!!

I am so glad you decided to make ADR's for 'Ohana! You and your DH will love it! The food is fantastic and it's really one of the most fun places to eat in WDW! It's great for breakfast or dinner! My family and I make sure to go there during every trip! It's our favorite!

My DW has officially been cut off reading this thread! :lmao:

Oh no, I'm getting your DW in trouble! :rotfl2:

It's taken a long time for me to get my collection and decorations! I am thrilled to finally be able to see and use it all! It's been in storage for far too long! DisneyShopping.com does have some great deals sometimes, even if the items aren't the best made. I still love all the stuff! WDW does have a lot of the same stuff and you can always call and order from them too for anything specific, so be on the look-out!

Oh yay! You found her! I went looking for her on the Wedding Boards, but no luck! Where is here Trippie? Can you post the link? I must go say hi! :goodvibes I'm horrible with numbers, so when she told me her username, the numbers went through one ear and out the other! :rotfl2: I know that's horrible! I figured she was busy planning her wedding when she said she hung out on the Wedding Board a lot! :goodvibes

I know exactly how you feel! All of our wedding items, gifts, and all the Disney stuff we bought on our Disneymoon had been packed-up since June and all the rest of our stuff had been packed away for a couple months before that. It was like Christmas when I finally got to open all the boxes and see all my stuff! I had forgotten about a lot of it too because it had been so long. We were just now finally able to display our wedding photos and I finally could go buy frames for them! I'm finally glad to be "home." I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day with your new hubby! :goodvibes

Yay! :yay: It's you! It's you! :rotfl2: I was so glad to meet you too! I was so shocked to actually see a DIS'er at 'Ohana and to actually be recognized! My parents were in shock too! It was the first DIS encount for my Dad! :lmao: I could tell your DF was just thinking we were nuts! :rotfl2: In a good way!

Thank you so much! You are more than welcome to PM me at anytime and let mw know when you make it back to the World! I know the next time is probably when you'll be very busy with the Fairy Tale Wedding, but I'd love for you to make it back some time for a future DIS Meet! Oh, and I gotta go read your Trippie! I was hunting for you on the Wedding Boards yesterday, so I am so glad you found me!! :goodvibes

That is my fav photo too! :goodvibes I had to buy it when I saw it! DH has a crush on Tinker Bell, so he loves anything with her on it! :rotfl2: I love Facebook because I can post all of my photos for free and I can then post them here on The DIS! It works out great! Plus, I just order any copies I want straight from online! :thumbsup2 I love the ICEE cups and I knew it was another thing I had to collect! :lmao: There are only 5, so I just have 2 more to get! ;)

Valentine's Day

Winter Summerland Miniature Golf

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day! DH & I had dinner reservations at the Grand Floridian Cafe at 7:30pm and I couldn't imagine a better place to celebrate Valentine's Day! The Grand Floridian is just beautiful and the perfect setting for the day! I thought I'd go ahead and tell you about our evening and share my pictures! I hope you don't mind me interrupting the Trippie a little bit! ;)

We had a little time to kill before our dinner time, so we decided to go play Miniature Golf at Winter Summerland over at Blizzard Beach! It is amazing how unpacked WDW is this time of year. I'm not use to it at all! We were the only car in the parking lot! It was fantastic and I think the CM's were a little shocked to even see people. :goodvibes

n25002324_31689931_4795.jpg

The course is so much fun and is such a cute Christmas theme! It is the pefect place to go during the holidays, that's for sure! We are a little late celebrating, but oh well! They even have Christmas music playing the entire time and Christmas lights! :yay:

n25002324_31689932_5178.jpg

n25002324_31689933_5540.jpg

Every hole was full of fun and surprises! Anyone would have a blast and the course is also set-up to be easy, which I love! I'm just there for the fun, but DH still manages to beat me...EVERYTIME!

n25002324_31689935_6321.jpg

n25002324_31689936_6694.jpg

There is even a surprise squirting Snowman that drenched DH! :rotfl2: It was so cold tonight too and we were not dressed properly. I didn't realize how cold it was until we had been outside for awhile, but it still was beautiful night.

n25002324_31689940_8172.jpg

You can see how empty it really was! See the empty parking-lot behind me!? That's my Beetle in the parking-lot behind me. It's so great to not have any lines! We also ran into a cute little bunny that hoped around the golf course following us. He was adorable and not scared of us at all!

n25002324_31689937_7056.jpg

n25002324_31689938_7400.jpg

Disney puts just as much magic into their Miniature Golf courses! :santa: There is so much detail and it was really like visiting Santa in the North Pole! It's very interactive too; it's not your typical golf course at all!

n25002324_31689939_7766.jpg

This is just what I mean by the special Disney touches, you are given candy canes when you leave and just look at the sign to the bathrooms! By far, my favorite in WDW because I wasn't expecting it at all! :rotfl2:

Valentine's Day

Grand Floridian Cafe

We were starving after our game of minature golf, so I coudn't wait to get over to the Grand Floridian for dinner! We made sure to valet park for our special dinner and were greeted by the kindest CM's. They wished us a Happy Valentine's Day and wanted to know where we would be celebrating. There were so many people there all dressed up in tuxedos and beautiful dresses. Love was in the air! :cloud9:

The Grand Floridian has roses, flowers, and heart balloons in every shop window for sale and we even saw carts of flowers being delivered to guests' rooms. We took a lovely stroll outside around the fountain and pool, eventhough it was pretty chilly. We saw two cute little Mallard ducks in the pool. The female duck was curled up in the corner in the water resting and the male duck was standing next to her on the steps watching over here. It was the sweetest thing I had ever seen and there they were, the only ones in the Grand Floridian pool!

We were lucky and got seated before our reservations and we got a beautiful talbe by the window over-looking the gardens. There was even a single red rose waiting at the table for us! DH ordered a mixed-drink for the evening, red in honor of Valentine's Day, and we were brought some fresh bread! The raisin bread was my favorite!

n25002324_31689943_9212.jpg

n25002324_31689944_9556.jpg

We started out with the Cheese Plate for our appetizer, which was a sampling of Stilton Cheese, Irish Cheddar, and Purple Haze goat cheese. I am a fanatic for cheese and DH hates cheese, so that means it was all mine! :rotfl2: I did let DH have some of the fruit! He got pretty excited when he was the raspberries!

n25002324_31689945_9908.jpg

We each also decided to have some soup to start out our meal, I had the French Onion and DH had the Chicken Noodle. It was the best French Onion Soup I've ever had and DH loved his, he just said it was way too hot! It took awhile for it to cool down, so he could actually enjoy it.

n25002324_31689948_973.jpg

n25002324_31689946_289.jpg

I decided to just order a Caesar Salad because I was full from the Cheese Plate and I knew we had to order a special dessert! DH had the Roasted Chicken Breast, served in a Cabernet Sauvignon sauce with Red Bliss mashed potatoes. I also enjoyed some of the mashed potatoes that weren't covered by the chicken and they were fantastic!

n25002324_31689949_1356.jpg

n25002324_31689947_634.jpg

It was about this time that I began to hear music playing through the speakers and heard BANG, BANG! I quickly realized they were playing the music from Wishes over the speakers in the restaurant and we could hear the fireworks going off outside at the Magic Kingdom. I got so excited! I just love that music and it was such a magical touch to our evening!

Dessert was the highlight of the meal! The Grand Floridian Cafe has special Mini-Desserts and they each cost $2.39 and they were so cute! DH had to order the Chocolate Hazelnut Mousse Cake, but for our special Valentine's Day dessert, we ordered the Chocolate Fondue to share with dark chocolate ganache! It was the best tasting chocolate we've ever had as a fondue! It was not overly sweet or rich and had a hint of orange in it. It was wonderful! I even had to enjoy some with a spoon and DH dipped the Chocolate Cake in it!

n25002324_31689951_2044.jpg

n25002324_31689950_1709.jpg

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day & I hope you all did too!
