So, I really like the Sunset Pointe location. I originally thought we would do the vow renewal in April but found out they don't book that except for October-March. I could move it back to end of March but then I got a pincode for mid April from Disney tonight. So now I am second guessing maybe I should just change to a different location and go in April.

The question then is, which location? I was also looking at the one at Wilderness Lodge as well but dh liked the Sunset Pointe better. Ugh, I had totally planned out the whole polynesian feel in my head. I thought I had found the perfect dress and went to try it on today and they didn't have it in. It's part of the new collection and they do not know when or if they will get any in. My shopping choices are pretty limited here. Maybe I should just scrap it all and start over again.

You might want to have a Resort pros and cons list, then you and DH go over what you both are looking for during your stay, for example, easy access to the parks, you may want to be at a resort along the monorail, you can make a breakfast or lunch reservation at the Whispering Canyon (can be a bit loud), which is inside Wilderness Lodge. It really depends upon what you and DH expect. We celebrated my step daughters sweet 16th birthday there and I had a banner printed from the Disney Store's website that said "Happy 16th Birthday Nichole". We had 5 teenagers, so we rented a cabin & a couple of golf carts, at disney wilderness campsite and I order groceries from Garden Grocer and we had a blast. We saved a lot of money on eating at the parks and spent more money on 'special experiences' such as parasailing, snorkling inside Epcot's Aquarium, taking a cuise on the Grand 1 during the Wishes Fireworks.

You may want to check with DFTW. I've read the reason Sunset Pointe is only available from October-March is due to the heat of an unshaded, outdoor location. If you were planning early April, they may be willing to make an exception, since early April doesn't differ weather-wise very much from late-March.

Always worth a try. :confused3 The worst they say is 'no' and your back to this point again.

You can also do the beach at the WP if you are wanting a beachy wedding. I didn't know this until AFTER our wedding, but it is an option.
