And we enjoyed ourselves completely!!! We stayed in a 1 bedroom at the BWV's, sometimes we cooked in, sometimes we ate out & we purchased the Publix Thanksgiving meal for 35.00.... in the future, I think I'll just make it myself... I didn't like their cranberry or stuffing.... But, besides that everything went great!

We were there from November 19th-November 29th, we then moved over to a studio at the WLV's (our first time there), upon walking in my DH said he wanted to buy more points :jester: We don't really need more points to be honest though... we own at BW & OKW... but he likes WL too..... Hmm... Anyways, both units were in good shape, but I could see why they were switching the exterior of the BWV's, some of the wood was rotting  Course, I'm curious why they are putting up another wood siding, don't they make vinyl that looks like clapboard? I thought they did, but I could be wrong...

Community Hall continues to be a jewel to the BW, our son just loves it in there...

The worst part of our trip was the weather, it was really bad, cold actually.... most of the nights were in the 40's & only a couple of days went into the high 70's, most hovered around the 70 mark & one day barely made it to 60!!! This was the coldest Florida trip we've ever had & apparently this was the coldest thanksgiving in five years... For all of you just about to go, don't worry, as of tomorrow, the weather is supposed to be more seasonable, high 70's during the day & low 60's at night.... I was really disappointed about the weather, but DVC can't help that!!

Thanx for the report! I am glad you had a good Thanksgiving at WDW.
I don't blame your husband for wanting points at VWL. It is an incredibly beautiful resort!

Glad to here you had a good time.:)

We drove in on the 16th and you should be glad you got there a few days later. On the 16th it rain all day with tornado and flood warnings. Sunday was light rain and a high around 50 and Monday cleared up by was still cold. I think the 19th or the 20th we finally put on short sleeves.

dkellum, I know how your weather was, our friends were down there for that weekend & we caught up with them when we arrived on that Tuesday... I forget what they did while dodging all that rain... I guess Orlando is up 10 inches of rain for the year so far & the year isn't over yet.... Yikes  We've been so many times in almost every season & NEVER has the weather been so cold for such an extended period of time... even when it was low 70's, there was this cold breeze that just went through me & my daughter!! Now, I'll just be happy if we get warm weather in Hawaii in February... last February we visited for the 1st time & believe it or not it was their coldest week!!!! I'm not sure if it was the coldest week ever on record, or just for some extended period of time... You can see where my luck is going now

I'm glad your trip was a good one. Those temps you quoted sound pretty good to me compared to what we are getting here in CT right now! I hope that we get weather that good. The only snow I want to see is the fake stuff at Osborne Family Lights. :)

I'm sitting here reading this after returning from Christmas shopping this evening, and 70, 60, even 50 degrees sounds pretty good right now. It's 23 degrees in South Jersey, with a wind chill in the teens! BRRRR! A chilly breeze in the 70's would be quite welcome right now. But I agree the weather has been a little cooler than normal in Florida.

:Pinkbounc (this is me trying to get warm! lol!)

It sounds like you had a good time. We had so much fun that I almost forgot about how cold it was. Being from Cleveland, I thought how bad could the 50's, 60's and low 70's be, you're on vacation and in Florida but it was pretty cool at night especially the day before Thanksgiving. We wouldn't even go back out in the evening it was so cold to us. I did pick up the neatest sweatshirt at the character outlet at Hilton Head (it was half the price they wanted at Mouse Gears) and I wore it most everyday (thank goodness for that washer and dryer).

We're going down to Hilton Head again next year for Thanksgiving week (my kind supervisor gave me the approval this morning) and I hope it's a whole lot warmer next year!

The thermometer in my truck said it was 3 degrees this morning.
cold is a relative thing ! :)
