DH took a vacation day from work today. We planned to have a nice day ALONE....go out to lunch....have a "date". :D Well, Mother Nature has a horrible sense of humor....first it snowed....then at 5am, the kids school district announced that they were having a 2 hour delayed opening. That's perfect, I thought. I could sleep in (not needing to be up at 6 am), and then, the 3 kids would be in school by 11:00!! :p Well, at 7 am when I got up, the district changed their minds and announced school was CLOSED!! :earseek:

Gee, what does it take to be able to go on a date anymore!!!!??? :headache: :scratchin

I am hopeful my husband and I can have a quiet dinner alone right after they go to college. ;) I have already begun telling them how fun it is to go to school AWAY from home!:D Hang in there spring is coming!:sunny:

I don't want to alarm you, but the day I moved into college freshmen year, my older brother called my parents to tell them he was moving home ;) .

And always quiet, thanks for planning your date, now I don't have to go to work today, thanks so much, I really was dreading going.

That is funny ILoveDMV! My kids are 7 years apart with several nieces and nephews that seem to wonder in and out so I doubt I'll ever really be kid free. Truthfully, I wouldn't chage that for quiet dinners every night.:teeth: At least they eventually will get old enough to not think a Happy Meal is fine dinning!

Enjoy your day off.

Always Quiet, I hope you get a chance for a Date soon. How do you feel about Summer Camp? At least snow won't be an issue!:D

Hang in there. We didn't have a "date" for at least 6 years when the kids were growing up. Now we "date" all the time and I long for the old days;)

My husband and I planned a "date" a couple of weeks ago. Our first night out by ourselves in 7 months. When we were ready to leave the girls with the babysitter, our 11 yo starting crying cause we were going to Atlanta without her, so we took her with us. I wouldn't have had a good time having to leave her at home crying. I feel your pain. :D Oh well, they will be all grown up before we know it.
