Well, this FL vacation sucks!

We were supposed to be in Epcot right now, but DS's car died, and being good parents, we decided to loan the money to him so he could fix his car since he's in college and broke right now.

Darn it. It's rainy and cold here. I wanted warm and sunny this week.

I'm still taking most of the week off since I have a couple weeks of comp time I need to burn so I won't need to touch my actual vacation leave. Even though I'm taking the week off, I went to work this morning for a few hours to write a couple reports. Blech...I WANT EPCOT!

awww, I'm sorry ... but I know how you are feeling ... I would rather be in Epcot too! ... it's rainy & cold here in NJ too ... it totally stinks when life gets in the way of WDW! ... I hope you can re-schedule your Disney vacation soon ...

Trying to lift your spirits - it poured all day Sunday and today it's a little overcast and chilly. (by chilly, I mean 68 degrees. That's cold for me, not sure for you. ) It's not supposed to get warmer until the end of the week.

Does that help at all?

How about going out to dinner a few nights during the week??? Maybe go to a nice steakhouse (instead of LeCellier), a Japanese place (instead of Tepan Edo). You see what I mean. So it may be yucky out, it will be nice to have someone wait on you.

i'm sorry, OP i know how you feel. we were supposed to go to washington DC this past week, but our heat pump died about 2 months ago, and our vacation money is paying it off. we sat at home all week last week, and DD12 returns to school tomorrow. i feel bad, but this was a very cold winter in alabama. we can live without the trip, but we couldn't live without heat. it was very generous of you to give your DS the money to fix his car. i hope he's grateful.

Sucks how life gets in the way, doesn't it.

I was suppose to go to Mexico with DH next week, for our 20th anniversary. Instead, my DD is having surgery on Friday, and we just found out that younger DD has $2500 worth of braces coming this summer and fall.

yeah, that's a pretty crappy vacation, but on the other hand, what great parents you are! There's nothing like being a poor college student faced with a big expensive car repair, when...Look! it's a bird! it's a plane! No it's SUPERDAD & SUPERMOM to the rescue!

Way to be there for your kid!
