I just mixed myself a rum and Coke, and headed out to the garage to work on a scrapbook for my dad for Christmas. Turned my ankle on the top step, and tumbled down the stairs onto the cement floor. I sloshed a little of the drink on myself and the floor, but when I landed in a heap at the bottom of the steps I was still holding my glass and 75% of my drink was still in it.

Grumpy Pirate, I figured you might appreciate that the Tattoo was saved in the fall.

OMG, I once toppled over in a lawn chair that was on uneven ground and only spilled a couple drops of my Diet Pepsi!!! Me and the chair were splayed out, but the cup stayed up!

I thought I was like the ONLY person to ever topple and not spill their drink.

Now if you tell me that you fell into something to which you're allergic and had to go home to shower, load up with Benadryl and call a friend who proceeded to ***** you out because you had to skip the Rick Springfield conert that evening...I'm going to freak out (le freak - c'est chic ).

No on the second part, but I did get shoved into a patch of nettles by my best friend once, in shorts and a tank top. That was not fun! She didn't really mean to...we were just goofing off and she stiff-armed me in just the wrong spot on the trail.

Thanks. I'm just fine. My ankle was sore for a little while, but nothing that finishing the drink couldn't cure. I finished the scrapbook too. My dad is going to love it. I'm so excited to give it to him. It's pictures of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who are spread out between three states.

On the same note, one time I was baking some chocolate chip cookies. When I was taking them out of the oven, the pan started to slip out of my grip.

(Now keep in mind, I have 3 dogs always waiting in the wings in case of slips. If something hits the floor, they are on it.)

So, in a slip second, I had to decide, the cookies on the floor or a bad burn. Thankfully, the burn went away in about a week.
