Well, plans have changed

Instead of being in US/IOA in August we're now going for April vacation. I need ideas for keeping two teens busy at night as the parks close at 6 -7 pm the week we'll be there (in August they closed at 10 pm). We'll be there for 5 nights. At least one night we're going to Blue Man Group and I thought another night we'd go to the movies. Any other ideas?

I wouldn't worry about keeping them busy every waking hour. They might enjoy lounging by the resort pool, watching tv, or just listening to their ipod or reading. If you eat dinner after the parks close, that isn't going to leave a lot of time anyway.

You may not stay in the parks until closing. We tried to get there at opening to hit all the big rides, so we were usually done for the day by early afternoon.

Fun Spot is a mini-arcade with go carts on an elevated track and some carnival rides. It's a lot of fun!

The closest miniature golf courses are on I-Drive not far from Universal. There are several close together. I guess Congo River is the closest.

Actually I think this is a good question! When we go in the middle of June the parks close at 7:00 (which I think is still really weird! ), and I know the kids will like being around the pool, but one night we might do miniature golf, we love playing that! Any good ones close by that stays open late???

I suggest touring the US resorts. Each resort is different, have great restaurants for dinner after closing, and can be fun to walk around, check out the pools, etc.

Citywalk also has a movie theater that shows first run movies. What teenager doesn't like a movie?

Thanks everyone. We won't have a car so we can't go too far from the resort. Mini golf out on I-Drive sounds like a good idea as does Fun Spot (we have a Fun Spot at home and the kids have a great time there).

Old Town is in Kissimmee which is quite a drive from Universal. It's only an option if you have a car.
