Well Mal, at least I tried... ;)

I am the proud owner of a mule called "UniversalPark" though, if you want to collect Universal people. I was trying to pick a name that would not be approved for the million guest quest, but they went and approved it.

Maybe I should set up a theme park based on all the Universal rides, owned by UniversalPark.
You should do that just to tick off staff.:)

My mule called GOTOUNIVERSAL wasn't approved,I wonder why? Then I tried VMKSTINKS that got rejected before I got a Guest number, then I tried Captain11111 but no numbers.

I'd experiment with a mix of upper and lower case letters. There is a player on VMK named TinksTinks. Looks pretty innocent until you ignore the placement of the uppercase letters. It actually is TinkStinks. I laugh every time I see it!

By the way, thank you for your supportive replies in other topics. I appreciate them very much!

qruthie, qruthie...you crack me up. Always! I'm glad I'm not the only older person who still likes fart and poop jokes. And the Ren and Stimpy idea is priceless. I have to start coming up with clever mule names now (i just use whatever pops in my head...I have one called "luvtoshop" and I hate shopping)

:flower: ~Mia~ :flower:

After the first few mules I ran out of ideas for names off the top of my head, so I tend to look around the room and pick something.

The theme names I have are:
-the rose family-
rose.red
English. Rose
Princess.Rose
winter.rose
Rose.in.winter

-the tiki family-
tiki.goddess
tiki.baby
big.tiki
Tikii

-the you family-
Hey.you
whats.up.youu

-the bug family-
butterfly.flew
lady.bug
LadyBugFlyAway

-the me family-
Wild BillMe
StarMagicMe
LittleOneMe
Magical.Me

Cat, those are great mule names! It's cute how you have them broken into families.
How do you manage so many mules? Do they all get their NPC credits everyday, or are they out to pasture after their initial credits are used and clothes are sold?

Somehow, I thought you'd have a "cat" family, with, Jaguar, Lion, Cheeta, Tiger et. al
Maybe for the next family .. lol

When I started in VMK, I didn't know about mules until I started reading the DIS boards. I thought to myself “boy that can get out of hand fast”. I tend to over organize everything, so I just created a "VMK game file" on the hard drive and just keep a record of each one I create with name, password, any credits or goodies they might be holding in case I ever need them again. Mostly the retired ones have spent all their credits and traded their goodies to cat.herder.

I created a table in the file with one mule name in each cell of the table. I color coded the cells too:
* White ones are active mules (2);
* Retired ones are black (most);
* Peach colored one are mules with credit I'm holding on to for "surprise specials" and things like “stitch transporters or train transporters” if they ever decide to sell them. (5);
* Red ones are mules with credits I've created to buy for the Christmas decorations or "Secret Santa" when I get my SS name later. (3 for now)

Most are out to pasture for the time being, I can create a mule and get 2000+ credits quicker then trying to take even a few of them on a credit run daily. I’m only taking 2 characters out daily, my main girl one: "cat.herder" and my main boy one: "road.master". I only keep him alive for sentimental reasons; he looks like and is named for my husband, I've saved him for when they come out with a boy-only costume.

re: more cats
Hon, I have enough cats hanging around in real life to add more to the VMK game. :rotfl2:

Well- I won't share them all because I may use some for mule ball activities in the future but...

I have all my Virtuals:
VirtuallyNotMe
VirtualOtherMe
VirtuallyMeToo
VirtualAlterMe
VirtualDudeMe
VirtualGirlMe
VirtualKutieMe
VirtualBabyMe
... I think that is all of them

I also have a group named after Girl Scout things-
Daisy Low
Olave
Clotile
and two others I forget right now

And then the weekend the Costumes all came out for Halloween- I decided to create mules to get one more set of each costume- I was getting bored thinking up names and ended up with two mules whose names were approved:
INeedAYellowDress
IWantClothes

I do have a few others that have some fun more creative names but those will stay a secret for now.

Of course the worst mule names- were created at WDW by a friend- she thought surely these names wouldn't be approved but they did approve them- they are the first initial and last names of myself, husband, and kids- so they do not get played anymore- because despite trying to communicate this to VMK- I keep getting the messages that tell me they aren't reading my emails- so I gave up and just parked our born in park characters away- although I did bring them out this weekend (with the extra 200 points a day you can get with two credit runs -if we get it all weekend - that will be 1200 points a character right there :) )

How do you get 200 points a day on a credit run? i thought it was only 100 (talking about the NPCs)

And cat.herder: how many cats do you have? I have two and they are ENOUGH!!!! :crazy2:

You can do a credit run every 12 hours, but they HAVE to be 12 hours apart (if it's 11hours and 59 minutes, you wont get any money lol). So, if you did all your runs right at opening (or at least within the first 3 hours that vmk is open), you can do another 12 hours later. ;)

I do themes too:

I have fairies, pirates, holidays, mule mules to name a few....

I wish I could play whole families of mules at the same time that would be so fun ;)

Can you always do it again EXACTLY 12 hours after you do it the first time, no matter what time you started? Like if I did it at 10 am I could do it again at 10pm, and if I do it at 12 noon I can do it again at midnight?

Well, yes you can do it exactly 12`hours apart, but, no you can't click after VMK is closed. To get two rounds in a day you really need to do the first one sometime between 7:00 am and 9:45 am so you have just have time to get in the second one before closing. Of course, you can't do another one the next morning again until exactly 12 hours after your evening run.

I see. So I just did my first run at 11:50, and I will do my other at 11:50 tonight :)

LOL, yes I knew what you meant :) I'm just glad I don't live on the West Coast...I'm a night owl so vmk closing at 10pm would be a bummer for me. Not that it matters now that I got a new job with the hours of 6pm to 3am!!!

Of course, if I lived on the W. Coast I would be able to go to DisneyLand: I have only been once when i was VERY young and would LOVE to go back!!!!

Random DL question: I heard there is an Indiana Jones ride there that is the same type of ride vehicle as "Dinosaur" at Animal Kingdom. Is that at the Magic Kingdom, or the California park? Just wondering, b/c I LOVE Dinosaur, the way the ride moves, and I am a huge Indiana Jones fan, so I really want to ride it. I want to know in case we plan a trip to Cali anytime soon ( even if JUST to be able to ride Mr. Toad's Wild Ride again! Sigh.)

Yes! Disneyland has the Indiana Jones ride and it is the same ride technology as the Dinosaur ride in Animal Kingdom.
Don't be dismayed if the line for it says 20 or 25 min. I think it takes 15 minutes just to walk through the entire queue. It's very well themed, so it doesn't seem like it takes that long.

And, yes Disneyland also still has Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. It's a great ride. Although in Fantasyland it's a toss up which I like better, Mr. Toad, Peter Pan or Alice in Wonderland. I love them all.

Yes, it's the same technology, but Indiana Jones blows Dinosaur out of the
water in its effects and theming. So much that Indy is in my top faves
of all attractions.
