Well, it looks like July for us; will we regret it?

If you go prepared for the heat and crowds you will be OK. We went last July expecting it to be terrible and it really wasn't that bad. I agree with the poster who said to eat at off times for CS. We usually ate a little earlier (11:30 lunch, dinner around 5:30 ) and it wasn't too bad. Whatever you decide, you're still at Disney. You'll have a great time! :thumbsup2

We went in Aug one year and had so much fun. Sure it's hot, but that is what makes summer great!!, plus there are lots of places to go and cool off. Have fun, enjoy your daughter while she is still home (same boat DS goes away to College this fall).

...Kilamanjaro
...Splash Mountain
...the misting Tikis
...the misting soda in MGM
...the pool (ANY pool)

sooooooooooooooooo much more!

I have gone over the July 4th weekend for a few years now, this year I am staying for the week. It's certainly doable. By the time you get there the July 4th crowds will be gone (including me) and there'll be regular summer crowds. Use Fastpass, try to tour parks early (I don't, but I visit a lot), make sure you have ADRs for anywhere you really want to eat. It'll probably rain a bit daily and will be hot. If you like swimming, pick a resort with a good pool, and think about maybe trying out a water park. I'll be spending a few days at water parks.

I don't think you will regret it. Yes, it will be hot but there is also a lot of benefits, such as, long hours, parades and fireworks everyday. Stay somewhere with a nice pool, take breaks and drink a lot to stay hydrated.

We'll be there July 10-26. We are always limited to summer, because we are teachers. The good thing is that we can stay longer, so we can afford to take breaks. Maybe our paths will cross!! Have a great time.

Yeah, I'm starting to get used to the idea now. One great thing is that the parks are open much later than in the first week of June, which is when we've gone before. We've got pluses left over from our last trip so I think we will check out BB, as we did TL last time and we all loved it. AND this plan gives me one more month to save so maybe we'll do a mod resort rather than the value we'd planned.
Love those silver linings... :tink:

Will you regret going in July? I hope not, 'cause we're going there then, too! Enjoy your trip! :sunny:

Good Morning,

Do not hesitate about going in July. 7/23-7/31 This will be our third July trip and we have found it to be a wonderful time to go. The parks loose many families mid-day, so the lines get shorter. Here are some tips:1. We always carry our water bottles. 2. Take time to have icecream. 3. Hang out by a water feature, there is always a good breeze. 4. Every ride ends in a gift shop, enjoy the air conditioning.
It's Disney...enjoy the magic!!!

Even though it is hot and crowded WDW in summertime is great. We haven't ruled out not going agin this summer, if a special does come out, we may be there too.

Travelling in the summer takes a little more planning, but it still is a WDW vacation. I personnally love the warm pools, longer park hours and the buzz of activity that comes with July visits at WDW.

Enjoy! It's better than no vacation. I'd go back in a second.
