Hi! I've been lurking (as usual...) without posting, but I figured that I should get around to posting and letting everyone know how much fun I had at Disney! We went to two of the Mickey's Merry Christmas Party nights, and all I can say is ...wow. The first night there was certainly more people. The night after that, there wasn't any people there hardly at all. I truthfully tell everyone it's the most fun I've had, ever! The Magic Kingdom is like a dream come true around the holidays. I would have to say that out of the parks, Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom are my two favorites. I DID take pictures with characters!
We stayed at All Star Music, and I absolutely loved it. At Animal Kingdom, my little brother, my little brother's best friend, and myself rode Dinosaur. Now, we had anticipated staying there all day... it just wasn't in the cards for me. After I rode Dinosaur, I was done! My Aunt has a new Ford Explorer Platinum and EVERYTHING on her console runs off of a touch screen. It tuckered out and she had to get it fixed at the Ford dealership in Orlando. So, they had to leave AK early anyway. After I rode Dinosaur and got the dickens scared out of me, I left early with them! X_X Besides, I wanted to take a nap for the Christmas Parade and the MK
Seriously though, the picture was worth MORE than a thousand words, but I absolutely forbid my little brother OR his friend from buying it. Picture this: Two Varsity football players (my little brother's friend sat in the middle between us. I wish he hadn't, my little brother is used to putting up with me!) and me, with my Grumpy jacket and Donald Duck shirt on. Now, once the meteors started falling in the ride (...I felt so sorry for the dinosaurs.) I was already grabbing my little brother's friend, but when they snapped the picture those two were looking up at the Dinosaur like
and I was holding onto the friend's arm, looking the other way, with my EYES SHUT! And I was sitting on the side the Dinosaur pops out on, ...even though I didn't see it. Just heard it. I was SO EMBARASSED! LOL! There were little kids on the ride that was laughing and smiling, and I was scared of the Dinosaurs! Although in my defense, I've always been scared of audio-animatronic dinosaurs... Anyway, the Disney's Hollywood Studios park, I absolutely loved! Does anyone have any pictures of Otto von Bon Baun? Also, who is the ''gossip columnist ...journalist'' character there? None of us can remember her name! Now, the Tower of Terror... I wasn't scared of it, after it finally started. There was this old lady there with her grandson and I looked at her, ''Is this really that scary?'' "Oh no dear, only your first time...I guess it's your first time?'' LOL!!! Everyone was scared to ride it, except me and Jeremy (my little brother's best friend.). I wanted to ride it because it looked so much fun, I was always scared of the reports I heard of the pre-show with the boiler room and such. The Boiler Room scene wasn't that bad at all, I was expecting macabre, Freddy Krueger-esque type boiler room, but in typical Disney fashion it just looks like ...a boiler room in an early 20th century hotel
Anyway, when they opened the windows and I saw Mickey's wizard hat, all you could hear in the elevator was... ''JERE....''
I loved it! I wanted to drag my little brother on it, but he wasn't having it. He said it was too high. Anyway, since my first Disney trip in April just consisted of the MK, I'm glad that I got to venture out into the other areas. Of course, I spent the most time in the MK...but it'll always be my favorite park. I wasn't too fond of Epcot, but then again it was during the Food and Wine festival. I didn't SEE enough of AK because I took the option to leave early. I just know next time, I won't ride Dinosaur
Did anyone else go to the MVMCP (I'm trying to get used to using y'all's abbreviations...xD) this time? Does anyone have any pictures? All of the pictures I took of the Princes and Princesses came out fuzzy. :sigh: I was really hoping for at least one picture of each of them. I really loved Snow White's float! I think it's sort of iconic that Snow White was the first Princess, considering Disney is sort of ''the house that Snow White'' built. If anyone would share their pictures with me, I'd be eternally delighted! I especially wanted to study the costumes closer, since it seems that at least Snow White and Cinderella have different Christmas costumes. Does anyone know if Disney can arrange transportation for you from a Greyhound bus station to the resorts? I'm thinking of going back, by myself, before next year
