Myself, DH and DS are checking in Sat at Sports, I helped DD make her reservations, she and her DH are checking in Tues 6/2. I called the front desk at Sports to request our rooms be close to each other, and she didn't have my DD's reservation. Guess what? We accidentally made it for Music and never noticed.

We are driving down, and they are flying, we will have all their luggage. I would change it, but knowing my luck we would loose all of our ADRs and FPs (our accounts are linked for MM) Plus, they got the Spring discount, I don't know if they would loose that. I was really going to try to go with the flow this trip and not get stressed out, I can't believe I am already having issues before we even leave.

Planning a trip shouldn't be this stressful :(

Your ADRs would be fine if they switched. I'd be a little nervous about the FPs, although I haven't heard as many stories about those getting messed up lately.

Maybe it's worth a call to at least see if they have availability under the spring discount? If they do, they could still switch at those rates (since it's not a new booking).

In all honesty, it could be a blessing in disguise. I would much prefer to be in a nearby, but different, resort. You're still within easy walking distance, but everyone still has plenty of privacy when they need it.

But, if you're absolutely sure that no one in your family feels that way, call Disney and see what they can do. It won't screw up any ADRs, but it could screw up the fastpasses since they're tied to the resort reservation.

I'm sorry OP. I'm sure I'd feel a great deal thrown off if our trip
Was starting that way. Our extended family enjoys traveling together and, in fact, share houses. While I'm sure the distance apart won't ruin the trip, Whatsoever, I'd still want to see if we could get the rooms closer. The FP+ piece would make me nervous, too, though.

Okay, I called the Sports front desk (super sweet CM) requested Building 8 or 9 for us and 2 or 3 at Music for DD. The buildings are right across the parking lot from each other, hopefully it will work out. I am not going to worry about it anymore. (sorry, just had to vent)

If there's availabilities for Sports and decide to switch, just make sure the new reservation is active before cancelling the previous one and you shouldn't have any issue with your FP+. In fact, technically you are within 30 days so your FP+ should not be affected even if you cancel everthing (they are linked to your tickets not reservation).

Did you book direct? Changing resorts is an easy modification that will not effect your FPs, etc.
