After I watched my mom die from lung cancer that was enough to make me quit. I had never been a heavy smoker and had only smoked for about 10 years so it probably wasn't as hard for me as it would be for someone who smoked a lot longer.I don't know all that statistics but for me, after only a week or so of not smoking, I felt 100% better.
