I tried and was miserable with Kazaa, winmx and morpheus. My BIL told me about a site called imesh and it works really well--it is FAST like audiogalaxy used to be. Kazaa was so slow it drove me nuts. WinMX would never power up enough to use, and the help window was 'under construction". Morpheus was also slow.
The downside, I have found out, is the GAIN popup ads that constantly come on--even in the morning when I get the computer moving, there are 3 or 4 popups from the night before. And some are NOT child-appropriate. I also had to delete a casino that was downloaded.
I noticed that GAIN was not listed on the add/remove feature. When I went to the website, it said when I remove all GAIN supported programs, it deletes itself. I had 3 GAIN programs listed--precision time and date manager (which I deleted)--and you guessed it, Imesh.
So if I want to get rid of the ads, I have to get rid of the music sharing.
Guess I'm still looking for a fast, comprehensive music sharing service!
