Well, I didn't receive my Target Red Card

So I applied and was approved for the Target Red Card and I never received it since I don't have an actual mailbox, only PO Box. Thought this might happen. And no, I haven't called them about it because I hate to talk on the phone. But if I have to I will. Do you think though that if I went to my local Target they could issue me one or get the ball rolling on it?

I am fairly certain that they don't issue them in the store. I understand not liking talking on the phone but I would call them if I were you.

I don't think the local store can do anything. I forgot my card once and they said they had no way to issue a temp card.

You're going to have to call. Stores do not have the ability to issue credit cards. I wouldn't put it off.

Same thing happened to me. I got pre-approved, received my first bill but never the card itself. I had to call and they issued me another card b/c they had no idea where it ended up. It was a 15 max conversation.

Ok, I will call. Its not a credit card by the way, its the one tied to your checking account.

The debit cards can be issued at the store level. You need to go in with your ID and checkbook.

I'd still give a call to somebody (and I doubt the branch can track your card) because there may have a PO mixup or something and somebody else could have your card. Money from unauthorized debit cards is *much* more of a pain to get back than with CCs

That's even worse. You should have called already. You do not want a debit card floating around somewhere. Someone could use it to completely empty out your checking account.

I lost my debit Red card last month, and when I asked at Guest Services in my local store, they just gave me a business card with a telephone number to call to get the old one cancelled and the new one replaced.

I called from the parking lot, and it was a short, easy call.

The stores cannot actually issue the plastic card. They enter the information and give you the approval and a paper receipt that can be scanned to use your card for a few days until you get the plastic card in the mail. This is the same whether it is the credit card or the debit attached to your checking account.

If you were actually approved for the Red Card debit card, that means they have issued one in your name and it's tied to your checking account already. You can't just open a new one at the store since you already have an account. Call right away and either cancel it or see if there is some way for you to receive it without a physical mailing address.

I've never understood PO boxes! It seems like pure hassle.

Calling now!

They changed my address to my PO Box and are resending the card. Did not sound as if they were in America though.

The person you spoke with met or exceeded your needs. An accent doesn't indicate geographic location, and geographic location clearly has no effect on your problem being resolved. But America includes over a dozen countries.
