Well, I did it!

I pulled the trigger. I checked out when the kid's spring break is for 2021, and found a cruise leaving San Diego during our window. I paid the deposit today and won't say ANYTHING to anyone in the family (except my husband because he needs to keep some holiday time back) until NEXT Christmas!

I'm planning on hitting DLR/DCA for 5 days prior. We'll rent a car and drive up from San Diego then drive back down for the cruise.

I'll be lurking this forum for sure to make sure we get the most out of our 4 day cruise. It won't be enough for me, I'm sure, but it'll be a good first cruise for us I'm sure.

Thank you! I'm pretty excited. I think, as long as I can talk about it here, I'll be good about keeping it from the kids. The kids will lose their minds when I spring this on them next Christmas.

I'm attempting to take the family to DLR this March for 5 days, and then I'll go again in October for my annual trip. The kids' dance studio is dancing in Disneyland in Feb 2021, so I'm going with the kids then and then a month later we'll be back. They're going to go bonkerballs when they realize they're going so many times. They haven't been since Christmas 2017, and they're getting antsy to return.

So... what can teenagers do on a Disney cruise?

Congratulations! You will find 4 days WAY too short....be prepared to book another while you are on this one!

My teens (in their 30s now), loved the teen club on the ship. I think they enjoyed being "free" of mom and dad and became each other's wing-man/woman. They still have friends they met on cruises. Be sure they go to the FIRST NIGHT activities as that's when friendships start. There is also trivia (sports, music, etc.) if they enjoy that. My son loved the basketball court.
