True story - I was on vacation last week at WDW - sitting in a 1 BR villa at the Wilderness Lodge - watching Mackenzie Phillips on Oprah. At the first commercial I searched for and downloaded her new book, and as soon as the show ended I started reading. I finished it at 1:30am that night!!

That's what I love about Kindle - immediate gratification, whether you want to read the Pulitzer Prize winner (Olive Kitteredge, next on my list) or the latest celebrity scandal...

Please post a review once you've had a chance to use it. I was at Barnes and Noble yesterday with my DS & told him I need to buy a kindle. I'm running out of room for all our books!

Congrats! It's addicting though. If you're not a member of the kindle boards, I'd suggest stopping by. There's a section that lists free/cheap books available for download and you can order them before you even have it in hand. When it arrives and you turn it on, they'll download (along with any other books you may have purchased from Amazon already) and you'll be ready to go pretty much right out of the box. Enjoy!

Go to the Amazon web site and look for Kindle Store. There's a message board section.

There's also a kindleboards.com, I believe. It's another group dedicated to "Kindle" chat. All fun to read and all nice pepople...

Good luck with your Kindle2! I recently got one and can't speak highly enough about it. Beware though....after going on kindleboards.com, I ended up spending even more on beautiful skins, cases and bags. So much fun! I absolutely love my Kindle and now my only problem is getting it out of my DH's hands so that I can read! Note to self....this may become a 2 Kindle household at Christmas!
