I just booked our flights for or Feb trip. I had the hotel (HIFS) and car (National) booked quite a while ago, but was waiting just be be sure we could go. Now there is no turning back! lol.
I ended up booking with Air Canada at about $120 per person more than Air Transat would have cost. (There are 5 of us so it did add up). But a VERY big consideration for us was the flight times. 2 winters abo we flew Air Transat on a 6:30 am flight and I vowed never again. Even staying in a hotel close to the airport (we live 1 hour away) we still had to be up by 3:30 am to be at the terminal for 4:30 . I wanted to be there at least 2 hour early, so that we could pick our seats together. Then the flight was delayed for an Hour. I know any flights may be delayed, but when you are already getting up in the middle of the night, that was an awfully long hour! Also we will be on a 767 which may be a little less cramped. So, we take off at 1015 am, and when we come home, we dont leave Orlando until 2:15 pm, so that leaves us most of the morning on our last day to swim or whatever. (Mom will be packing Im sure..:)) Im going to either Sears or CAA this week to buy our Park Hopper passes. Maybe with a little luck, Ill have them payed off before we go.
Now that things are more finalized, Im really getting excited. Ive started packing lists already!! (compulsive planner).
I started reading these boards just before our last trip. And have now become addicted Im afraid. If it werent for these boards, I dont know how Id have a clue on where ot begin.
Thanks to all of The DIS!! :) :) :) :) :)

Congratulations Karen!:) Sounds like all your planning is coming along!

I know what you mean about the early flights...lol I hate them too. Last year at this time we were lucky to get our flight through Air Transat and it left at 1:30 in the afternoon so that worked out really well for us and I wasn't pooped.

Enjoy the rest of your planning, as I find the planning is half the fun!;)

It is so exciting when all your plans are falling into place isn't it! Feburary is not that far off, hope your trip is great!

Cool, sounds like all your plans are coming together. :) Are you counting down the days yet? :D

thanks guys!!
And, no, disney fan, I havent started a real count down yet....will probably start that after
Christmas. I did, however, buy some film today at Zehrs.(the prepaid developing kind). Im planning to buy a little something for the trip each week so the expenses don't get too crazy right before we go. :)
