Well, I went ahead and got reservations for the Polynesian. We will be there from June 8 - 16.

Hopefully there will be some codes come out and save me some money on the ressie.

I am pretty excited. This will be our first time to stay at the Poly. DW isn't quite as excited as I am since she loved staying at the Wilderness Lodge and really wanted to stay there again.

But I think that she will love the Poly as well.

106 days to go.

(I need one of those countdown clocks now!)

I love the Poly though we have only been there to dine. I cant wait to stay there. I am sure your DW will love it.

PrinceJohn,

Lucky you, leaving in 10 days!

Looks as though you have been to the Poly a few times. I will look forward to you posting a Trip Report or something of the nature when you return. Give me some ideas on some things to see and do. We have eaten at 'Ohanas before, but have never really even explored the resort.

I requested the Tahiti Longhouse, hopefully our request will be granted.

Ooooohhh, Princejohn, go ahead, rub it in. You just wait, October will be here in, well, 8 months, and then, yeah you'll get yours. Aaawww, that just didn't have the impact I was shooting for. Well, have fun anyway. By the way Pozey, you DW will love the Poly.

Poly is great. We were there last week. We were in the Fiji Building (3318) and it was wonderful. We were at WL in 2003 and Poly is far superior. Your DW will not be disappointed.

PrinceJohn,

I'm curious, what cowards made you cancel your 2001 AS trip?

Probably referring to the scumbags that crashed into the Twin Towers and Pentagon~

I'm not answering for him but I was thinking it has do with 911 and the cowards who destroyed the WTC with airliners. Just my opinion and it's funny you mentioned that because I was wondering the same thing.

exactly

I use cowards because my older kids often surf the boards with me. they were 4 and 6 at the time and we referred to them as cowards from day 1. Not a fun lesson to have to teach kids that age...honestly, I really don't want this thread to go that way - I'd rather focus on our POLY TRIP IN 10 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!! snoopy dance!!!

notice, I referred to it as "interrupted", we continued it 2 years later at CSR - ha ha, better resort - bad guys never win.

We started out at the All Stars (twice) then moved up to the CBR. Nothing wrong with either of those resorts - had a great time at both. It was my turn to plan the next Disney vacation. Of course I chose the Poly. I was worried that my wife would freak when she found out how much it cost. In fact, I hid it from her as long as I could. She did go into sticker shock for a little while, but once she got into the Polynesian mood and checked out the mono, view, landscape, both pools, etc. she came around. It is now "our" favorite resort (thanks Tikiman!) and we can't wait for our 5th Poly adventure in late May/early June (AP discounts or not)!

Dw gonna love it, I assure you. Have a great time. Wish I were going back there... aahhhhhh..........

Last night we popped in the new Disney Planning DVD (for about the 3rd time) and watched the little part about the Poly. I think she's getting more excited about staying there the more she thinks about it.

We'll be doing POFQ June 7-9, then 4 nights at the Poly. If the codes are good enough, we will switch to the Poly for all 6 nights. We're really excited too. Glad to hear there is a piece on the Poly in the new dvd. Ours should be coming in soon I hope, and the kids will love seeing the place. I stayed there once with my parents more than a decade back and loved it then, but it's sure hard to describe just how nice it is to others!
