I used to live close to Roanoke. It was north of Roanoke, I'm sure u've heard of it. I lived in Afton for a couple of years, then we moved to Waynesboro for a couple more, then before moving to where I am now... we lived in Stuarts Draft.

I miss that area as well, it sooo beautiful out there.

It's funny how small of a world this board is! I loved Roanoke - going to see family there on Labor day weekend and can't wait!

No, unfortunately Lakeside was closed years and years ago and there is now a shopping center with a Kroger's in it there.

Hi guys, had to get off without saying goodbye last night..............kid troubles.

I'm a bit late to come over today. Finally let our dog and our new kitten out together this morning........it was pretty funny. First the dog tried to ignore the cat, but the cat kept going over right on top of him and freaking him out. Then, he tried to play with the cat, but the cat went all tiger-y at him, and he started barking (he NEVER barks). Finally, I separated them for my sanity. I'll let 'em out together again later.

Then I finished a book I've been trying to get to.

Then I started planning our March trip to Japan................

So then it came down to housework or you guys.........guess what I chose?

I do have to go get groceries sometime though..........completely out of catfood because the dog eats it, but now I've noticed the cat eating the dogfood, so maybe I don't have to go right away after all. Do you think my cat will start barking and my dog meowing?

Yes, I do...a lot...I'm a librarian. I also read just about anything else you can think of...yes...even that!

But my screen name refers to my favorite comic book character, Harley Quinn (Joker's girlfriend). She's my avatar.

She was introduced on Batman: The Animated Series, then she started appearing in the comics. She's hilarious!

I LOVE it. Really, no fooling around. I'm a children's librarian. I had to get my master's degree to get the job and while the degree is a joke, it's still the smartest thing I've ever done.

I get to play with kids and spend tons of money on books, what could be better? It's really awesome, even with some of the super crazy patrons we get.

No, I had human kid troubles last night..........just the standard "we can't do anything without mommy directly involved" type........no big deal.
