Well folks, I'm in, and looking forward to it !

Tell your son he picked a good smilie. I like that one myself. :) With FOTL, you can go any day at any time of day. There's no need to rush to the parks or from ride to ride. You'll be amazed how relaxing the park experience really is. We've never informed them of a special occasion so I can't answer that question for you. I'm sure someone else can.

With FOTL does it really matter whether I hit the parks on a weekend or a weekday ?
Also do they do anything special for birthdays at park/resorts/hotels ?
Thanks
:yay:

saturdays will have more people at the parks.
it will effect you when you do counter service to table service at the parks or city walk. eat at off times then to avoid crowds.

at the hotel, you can order bd cakes and items to be delivered.
it's on your nickel though, not free

We have celebrated many a Birthday at Universal. I usually pack decorations in the suitcase and on the morning of kick everyone out to breakfast and decorate the room. Universal Studios has a Birthday Hat (I have pics somewhere) that looks like a cake with candles on top that the Birthday person has to wear all day! The kids get special attention and free desserts at almost every place we ate. We order a formal Birthday cake through the hotels concierge to be served at dinner of the birthday persons choice. Their cakes are incredible, artistic and delicious! Oh, expensive too.

The Kitchen at HRH makes a big deal for Birthdays and didnt charge us for any of it. The dessert was most special. Hard Rock Cafe also is cute for Birthdays.

*This was our experience it doesnt mean it happens all the time.

Im sorry this is off topic but I have to ask. Its about this dw, dh, dd, ds thing. I know the second letter is for husband, wife, daughter, son etc but what does the 'd' infront stand for?? In my head when I've been reading posts its been 'darling'

"Me and my darling husband went to IOA with our darlind son and darling daughter" Kinda funny

I usually say "dear" for the "d" but I guess you can use whatever works best for your family.:thumbsup2

well my family sure aren't darlings but I don't think I'll be able to get that out of my mind!! thanks damo

when i refer to my family, it means dumb for the first d.....
if i am in a foul mood, it means damn

Some people on the Disney side of the boards say the first "d" is for Disney.:confused3 So Disney Husband? I don't use the DH,DD,DS abbreviations since in my mind when I see DH it means something entirely different. :lmao:

ever notice how we get sidetracked??

i forgot what the thread was about........i know its not the coffee one,
is this the dad that is doing hrh this summer thread ????

if he is married, then he will understand us

This was the 1st message board I ever posted on. Boy, did I feel like an idiot when I posted about my Disney Husband on another board. I now know he's supposedly my "Dear" Husband, along with my "Dear" Son. :o

Back on-topic (I think ;) ), thanks for the lists of goodies you can arrange for special occasions. I'll be sure to have it noted the next time we happen to be there to celebrate a special event.

Allow time for pool hopping. It's great fun to take the water taxi to one of the other resorts (I recommend the Royal Pacific) and enjoying their pool for a while. My family loved it!

DH means Disney Husband? How funny since mine doesn't like Disney one bit. ;)

My Mom asked me one time..."what's the "D" for? damn??" at the time she was being a pain in the you know what, so i said "yeah, matter of fact it does!" I will use the abbreviations (DH & DS) only cuz it's faster and easier & you all know what i'm talking about!

(most times anyway.....i hope)
