I have always longed for those infamous pin codes but have never recieved one myself. Now I finally got one and we cant use it.
We decided to go for a short 3 day trip at the beginning of December. My husband really wanted to stay on site but we decided it would just be too much this trip. Unless of course we got a great deal on the Paradise Pier with a pin!
Well a few weeks ago my oldest son (10 years old) started not feeling well. I thought he had a stomach virus. He seem to get worse over the weekend before Halloween. That Monday morning I took him to our doctor and expected him to say just keep giving him fluids and that he had a virus. Well that didnt happen. We ended up in the ICU of the Phoenix Childrens Hospital and he has been diagnosed with Type 1 (juvinelle) Diabeties. We spent 6 days in the hospital and he is doing really well now.
But there is no way we can afford to go to Disneyland this winter. (Besides the fact that we couldnt have him miss any more school) So I cancelled the trip.
So wouldnt you know it. I go to my mail box and there is that darn pin code! Oh well. It was for Dec 1 to the 17th.
Honestly I really dont care that much, I just thought it was ironic.
I am just so thankful to God that he is doing well now. It is a life changing diagnoses but we are hanging in there.
