Well Done VMK Staff

Since we always seems to have a post about how VMK staff have no clue what the VMK players want to see done. And every time they mess up. I thought I would start this tread to to Thank them for a great ride weekend.

First of I really believe they are listening to our suggestions.

1) I knew it would be tough to judge so many really great rides. And to Add more runner ups was just amazing. They doubled the award winners which I think was just marvelous. Also giving credit to some exeptional rooms too.
2) They gave credits which everyone can use
3) We saw more staff ride our rooms,which was a thrill for us all who worked so long on our rides.
4) Leaving the judging flag at shallow end was a great idea. And stopped any confusion.
5) Acknowledging a mistake in the categories of winner and adding 10 prize winners. Could have just left it but chose to do the right thing
6) I believe the prizes were well chosen for the winners.

I was not sure about joining another ride competition after the Expedition disaster and only went into this for fun and fellowship. Now after seeing how well this was run I will be glad to participate again.

I would say this was the best run event yet. Keep up the good work

Just want to second your thoughts Belle...

I agree that the entire process was more organized -even with the few registration glitches but I know it felt much more organized especially with the flags and all.

I also appreciate their need to make it 10 runners up in each catagory and am happy that they did add the other catagory too- and also loved that they recognized a few individual rooms for their great work too.

I love that prizes were something different from what everyone else can get- and although I'd like more of those green boxes I hope it stays that way at least for a while.

Good job- and I said during the ride- as I visited others- that I do not envy the staff the job of picking one bit- there were so many out there that had really great rides- many of my top ten were selected as well- as a matter of fact only two of my top ten didn't make it (Boogies and Summer Escape were awesome rides too) And I was happy to see that the ride I thought should win it out right was a grand prize winner too...

Congrats to all the participants here at the Dis too- for taking the high road on things- from my lurking at other fan sites- it wasn't the same everywhere and I guess that is what makes the Dis a cut above the rest!!

And another fun time with my team too- I'm ready for the rumored Halloween ride whatever that would be (oooh wouldn't doom buggies be fun?)- I had a blast planning, building, and manning our ride and would do it again with those ladies in a heart beat.

Oh and for all out there- Please don't forget to feed your hippos!

Staff has improved greatly in dealing with this event vs. the Everest one.

And if there's a doombuggy ride later, I am so THERE.

And woot. if there's a Halloween ride, I am SO in Despite the challenges (or maybe because of) I had SO much fun doing this slide competition and can't wait to partake again. (Clearly, I need some sort of psychological help )

Thanks to the VMK Staff who worked hard to make this event successful for everyone.

Ditto Ditto Ditto! I had such a great time doing the slide competition! I was thrilled to have staff pop in and ride even after it was judged! The participation prizes are great! The winners prizes are great too! Lots of fun all the way around! I can't wait for another competition......oh, wait I need to earn and save some credits first! Thank you VMK for a great weekend!

Thanks for a great job judges - I definitely would not have wanted to be in your shoes. There were lots of wonderful rides and as a result of that more teams were recognized - way to spread the magic!

Isn't it funny when Staff on VMK mess up we have pages of rants. But when they do a good job no one cares to say thanks and show appreciation. Well if I was them I would say who cares since they do not appreciate when we get it right. So what's up Dis why so little response.?

W2G VMK Staff. I was happy with the event as well. I went one step futher and wrote to VMK to congratulate them on a job well done. Take the time people to thank the staff when you see them.

Sea Strars, make sure I'm on the team list for the next event. I enjoyed every minute with my team, they are the best hands down for friendship and fun.

This was also my first ride contest too! I had a blast with my sea stars as well.
Ditto to what my sea stars said above.
I thought that the event was very well ran. Putting those blue flags in was great to keep track of whose room had been judged. I had a blast sitting in my shallow end room, hanging out with my teammates and welcoming people to our ride.
And most importantly: Watch out for Jaws!
