I called today to see if I had PIN with my name or if I had one for 3/1. Of course, the guy said there was nothing. About a week ago, my daughter wanted to play with the reservations and I didn't want her to mess up what I had saved so I told her to get her own account, which she did. On a whim, I asked the guy if she has a PIN. Yes, she sure does. She has the current one. Lovely, they give my 11 year old a PIN that no one can use, but not me.

that it's your household address that counts with a pincode. If your daughter has your address it's ok for you to take it over. I had a similar situation and I asked about this 2 days ago.

If you like the discount your daughter's pincode has then ask and see what the CM says.

Seriously? I figured I was just completely out of luck. They are really courting her right now. I went to her email awhile ago since I had talked to the rep and wanted to see if she got an email notification and she has a ton of email from Disney (none with the PIN code though, go figure). They are sending her virtual snowglobes and tons of things like information on the resorts she saved and things like that. Disney doesn't so much as say, "Hello" to me.

I would sign into her account and make sure you add your address, etc to it. Then, you should definitely be able to use it if she is going to be with you.

I just don't understand the pin thing. I have been on the Disney site saving offers. We just went in September, and want to go again in Nov. My parents have never been so I signed my mom up to get the free DVD and she gets a 30% off pin. Luckily the dates we are going are covered and she is going with us so we can just book under her name. Still hoping for free dining, that would save us the most.

There are a lot of things about PINS that don't make sense. I book all our WDW vacations yet a PIN comes in the mail for my DH. He wouldn't even now what to do with it or what it is if I did'nt explain it to him. The only explaination is that I made him open a Disney Visa recently so we can get $150 Disney Dollars on top of the $$$ I have on my own Disney Visa!!:confused3

It doesn't matter who receives the pin code as long as they are a member of your traveling party. I've made our reservations in my name, but the pin was in my mother's name. As long as she is traveling with the party the pin can be used. That's what they told me when I called and sure enough it worked. Hope it works for everyone else. Please call and check to see if anyone in your party has a pin and then see if you can apply it - maybe you will find some pixie dust!

You can use your daughter's pin. My son had one once and they allowed us to book with it.

We ended up buying DVC before that trip, so never traveled, but it was allowed since he lived with me and was going!

They sent one to my 4 year old! She has an email address from her preschool which is technology driven. Apparently when we were there last time we must have listed it for something. Anyway she got it:lmao: They did let us use it although the CM was laughing when he asked how old she was! But it will work!

So funny! I never get pins and my 12 year old daughter has gotten the 30-40% off code about 4 times now :confused3 We're still holding out for FD though - I just keep checking her email :goodvibes

I find Disney tends to send PINs out to people wh never book anything. It always seems to be the people complaining about not getting PINs that are the most frequent visitors. So it kind of makes sense that you (who has a trip booked) wouldn't get a PIN, but your daughter would.

I always use a travel agent to make my bookings, so to Disney, it looks like my email address is always looking at and saving trips, but never booking anything, so I get PINs quite often (I just got 2 within less than a month of each other).

It bugs people that Disney isn't really rewarding 'loyalty,' but from a marketing perspective, it makes sense that Disney would offer discounts to prospective clients, and not to people who are obviously going, whether they get a discount or not.

I know when I finally signed up my DH for an email account last year, he got a pin w/i 3 days both via mail and e-mail. Me? Never.

I'll admit - I am a little jealous of those who say they get the same pin code 3 or 4 times! :) And seem to get them each time a new pin comes out! Who are you people? :goodvibes

I tried to call and ask about pin codes attached to my name once last year, but the CM was insistent that I had to already have it; he couldn't check for me. Hence the CM roulette we sometimes have to play!

I try saving offers and changing dates and all sorts of things in my own account, but it really doesn't seem to work. Now I don't know what to do that we've used DH's "one-time" pin receipt. :)

Although - we did want our next trip to be NY's Eve weekend. Guess they'd never really do pins for that now would they?

Yes, yes, you can use it! :cheer2::cheer2: I did it last year when I got a pin through snail mail to my 7 year oldl!!!!
